“Got new tires on my car first thing in the morning. Unusual/uneven wear brought about a recommendation for alignment. I had read a recent Facebook thread in which Ricky's name was mentioned half a dozen times as "THE" mechanic to use. Driving away from the tire shop I called Ricky and explained the situation and asked if there was any way he could work me in since I had the day off. Ricky said, "Come over right now and I'll squeeze you in". I was so grateful I wouldn't have to take another day off work. Ricky was so genuine, honest, quoted a more-than-fair price and promised to get me out and back on the road, which he did. Best mechanical services and best customer service. I've already referred a friend to Ricky! 10/10 recommend!!”

“These guys are the absolute best guys around. I brought my truck in for a transmission oil leak and they quoted be a reasonable price to get it fixed. When they began working on it they unfortunately discovered that my transmission was going to need replacement. I talked through with them my options for my 2004 ford explorer with 250k miles on it and in the end decided to take my truck to the junk yard for cash. Instead of charging me for the hours of manual labor they had done (which I was perfectly ok with paying) Kevin told me to not worry about paying as he understood how terrible the situation was for me. I recommend these guys to everyone I meet.”

“Just like any other day, my partner and I usually make trips from Cathedral City to SD to visit our family. However, this time my car had other plans! I needed my car ready as soon as possible to get back to work and home. Contacted Slick Auto Repair was greeted by Fred, he was very polite along with his two sons as well, checked my car gave me the good and the bad news with honesty as well answered all my questions, doubts and insecurities along with a lot of patience. Just like everything I know it takes time specially for cars but one of the great news was he could have my car ready in a day and a half! How great is that!Reassured me as well informed me on how to maintain or what to do if my car did or had any weird signs again. They have done work on my 55 Chevy show car, as well as a classic Jeep where he replaced the transmission and clutch. They do not overcharge or gouge, they simply fix what is broken and will definitely suggest other repairs if they feel it's necessary. I highly recommend and will always use this shop.”

“I have used Mike for all of my cars for both smog and service and other than being extremely busy (because he is that good), he has given me great service and fair price.For those of you complaining about Check Service light expenses, his job as a certified smog specialist for California is to review the diagnostic from the check engine light and explain the repair to the customer. He is required to charge for this service and then when the car is fixed, he can re-smog the vehicle and is required to charge for that service also. Any verified smog station will have the same procedure as required by the State.”
