“Okay so... I was unpleasantly surprised that Dollar General is not a $1 only store, but it does have good prices. I went at night and was scared I might be in a bad area, but most of the customers were families with children or teenage girls. All the cashiers at the time were women so I felt safe there. Nice selection of stuff, including some tasty ice cream varieties like twinkies that you wouldn't expect to see at a mini mart. Clean, well stocked.”
“I'm only giving a five star review based on staff. I love going here because everyone that works there, without exception, are extremely kind, compassionate and outstanding human beings. This is not hyperbole whatsoever, but my true and honest feelings. When I first moved to this tiny Town the stuff at this particular store was extremely rude and just plain horrible. When employee tried to ban me from the store because I called him out for being so rude to me every time I came into the store. When I came back the next day to talk to the manager about what the young man had done the evening before, I found that they had let go the whole entire staff that was there and they had all been replaced. I don't know how they found this group of people that's there now but I hope none of them ever leave!”

The cons/ negative thingsare the festivia glasses they sell with for the seasonal drinking glasses keep breaking in my hands when I wash them.”

“I wanted to take a moment to recognize Terry, who works at our local Dollar General in Oakdale, CA. I recently overheard some negative comments from a corporate team about her communication style, and I found it very unprofessional for them to speak about her in front of customers.
Terry consistently provides exceptional customer service. She greets everyone with a warm smile and goes out of her way to ensure that customers feel valued. I appreciate her friendly demeanor and the way she engages with everyone, making shopping at Dollar General a pleasant experience.
In fact, I sometimes drive to out-of-town Dollar Generals because our local store often has products in boxes rather than on the shelves. However, I always return to this location because of Terry's wonderful customer service.
Instead of criticizing dedicated employees like Terry, I would encourage management to focus on solutions, such as hiring overnight stockers to help unload and stock products. It's frustrating for customers when items are available but not accessible.
In a world where good customer service can sometimes feel rare, Terry stands out. She deserves recognition for her hard work, and I hope her contributions are valued. Thank you, Terry, for always brightening my day!”

“Clean, big, and plenty to choose from. I like that this Dollar Tree has big bags of individual bags of pretzels for snacks for my kids. They have a big assortment of books and coloring books. They have a lot more of everything because it's such a big store. The customer service is wonderful and it's closer to me then the Oakdale Rd. location. Glad they opened this one.”
