The Holiday Inn Express West Sacramento provides a decent stay overall. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is generally friendly. However, some areas could use improvement, such as the breakfast variety, which felt limited, and occasional noise from nearby traffic. It's an acceptable choice for a short stay but might not offer the same level of amenities as higher-rated options.

We stayed for an important appointment at West Sac CDTC DMV. From the beginning the experience was delightful. The desk staff was very professional and courteous! I wish I had gotten her name, she has exceptional customer service. We were upgraded for no fee and she put us onto the IHG membership. The room was clean, the shower had incredible water pressure (resulting in a wonderful shower) and the air conditioner really worked! My husband and I slept VERY COMFORTABLY in the bed. I did notice a few things were 100% in the room, like the temperature control needs a new battery and the microwave is missing a dial, but overall I was very happy with the cleanliness of the room and hotel in general. The breakfast was great. The on demand pancakes are a fun novelty (we're used to seeing waffle machines) and I enjoyed the omelets as opposed to scrambled eggs!

The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was what I expected.Having the freeway close is a double-edged sword; Convenient, but NOISY. In addition (on the night I stayed 9/28/23), there was what sounded like the hammering of a 20" (sounded big) diameter pole into the ground noise that kept on for quite some time!!!!That said, should the need arrive, I would stay again if it was close to my destination/intended purpose for visit.

I will never stay at a Holiday Inn Express again. Let's just say I have to make a 5 hour trip home with no sleep. The hotel is next to the freeway. You are awaken by every honk, motorcycle, and noise as it's coming through the walls as if you are sitting in the middle of the traffic . My back is killing me from the beds being so uncomfortable. My room wasn't cleaned once during my stay. I had to ask for my own towels and dump my own trash. For a $600.00 price tag for 3 days I expect more. They get a 2 star because the person who checked us in was fabulous!

In an industrial area, so it was not conducive to walking outside. The staff was really nice. The room was satisfactory, however there was a major leak from the soda vending machine outside our room (water from the refrigeration unit) that had the carpet soaked in front of our room and tracked into our room when you walked through the hall. You had to pass it to get to our room...Walkability: As listed, not much in the area. Industrial area, big trucks, and spotty sidewalks.

Pending charge for the $100 deposit in my credit card for almost three weeks and counting. They can't find it in their system either. I think they have a special kind of stupidity here, I asked my company not to book me a room again.

The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The toliet was running all night.Make sure to bring ear plugs, especially if your room is on the east side of the building. Unless you are in to the symphonic sounds of multiple trucks backing up starting before 5am. It's next door to a heavy equipment rental place.I will say the service was nice, they got us into our rooms early. There's hot breakfast available, but I was out before it started :-( it smelled good though.Rooms: Rooms were very inviting.Walkability: Right next door quick mart, a small grocery store and some fastfood restaurants.

Despite the reviews of this place, it's not bad. The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. We had the 3rd floor viewing the freeway and the two gas stations. The restrooms had the proper amount of shampoo, soap, and towels for me and my dad to use. It's close to a shopping area like IKEA and others if you ever need to go shopping, and you also have main Sacramento to visit if you ever want to see things. The only thing that sucked was that the toilet was clogged before it unclogged itself the following morning. Aside from that, it was a great experience. I'll book here again if I have to.EDIT: I added a picture.Rooms: The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. There is also Bay Area which is not too far away either. Look at Google Maps for the places you want to visit.Food & drinks: We had breakfast in the morning and it was good food. It's your typical American diet with some bacon, eggs, pancakes, bananas, and some toast or bagels.

Every one of the pillows smell like body odor, leads me to believe they didn't change the pillow cases and wonder if they changed the sheets at all. Will not be staying here again. Good thing I travel with my own pillows.

It’s tidy and clean, but noisy. I can hear people opening and closing doors of other rooms and water flowing in the bathrooms in other rooms. I was waken up by the garage car around 5 in the morning and couldn’t fall asleep again. I was charged for deposit when I checked in.

This hotel was about what I was expecting given that it's a Holiday Inn Express and the prior reviews.Check-in was a breeze and parking in the underground garage was simple at the end of each day (there was plenty of parking). I appreciated that the elevator went to the garage and was secured with a keycard.Breakfast was supposed to start at 6:30am, but was always out a little beforehand - I didn't try going down too much earlier to see what time staff started to set things out. Point is: everything was available by 6:30am, which I appreciated. The food itself was adequate and the coffee readily available. The room was comfortable and utilitarian. The desk chair and side chair showed quite a bit of wear, but I really didn't care at the end of the day. The bed and pillows were really comfortable, which to me is the priority in any hotel room.Overall, if you're staying in the Sacramento area (or can't find a hotel in Davis) this is a really great option and worth checking out.

The good: Parking was easy. Good water pressure. General areas were nice enough and seemed recently renovated to some extent. Breakfast was alright (pretty cool pancake machine). The lady that checked us in was awesome. Pretty quick ride into town. The bad: The rooms had obviously had some work done but showed signs of distress. The furniture is spent and needs to be replaced. Stains on all of the lampshades and just general wear everywhere. The tub had soft spots and stains.Overall nothing that would make me not want to stay there, but perhaps a bit high priced for what it was.

I'm not gonna sugar coat it, this place is a dump. It's in such a weird spot of town, not very clean (hair on the floor, dirty sheets, etc.) Stayed here one night cause everything else was $300+ cause of Sac States graduation. It's not the worst I've ever experienced, but it is no way near the best.
