The representative charged us for one way without asking our preference. I had reserved same location for drop off but she changed it without telling us of the extra charges. Then when I questioned it she said it was not refundable and called HQ and told them in front of me that I reserved it that way which was not true. She gave us a truck that was stuck behind other vehicles and we couldn’t get out. She then switched it for another truck that we couldn’t even open the door to because of how close it was to the rest of the vehicles.Then the returning process was a nightmare. The instructions were to go to a location and call a phone number. When I got there and called they said they were not affiliated with Uhaul. I called customer service and they sent me to another location but it was after hours so they told me to drop it off and take pictures for my records and then to call the scheduling team in the morning to make sure they accepted the truck. I didn’t feel comfortable doing that so instead I opted to return it in the morning at the new location. Glad I did that because in the morning the new location did not want to take it because they were full. We were so upset and told the manager that we’re dropping it off there and they had to take it. She gave us attitude and took the vehicle but said that gas was not where it was supposed to be so she charged us $52 for 8 gallons. We only used 1/8 of a gallon total. They had us driving around searching for the location to drop off and had to return twice. That’s unacceptable and a unfair consumer practice that I will be reporting it to the BBB.

Added an extra $67 charge out of nowhere. Apparently it's an extra $1 per mile to drive a prepaid one way rental.

I would give them 5 stars but I'm reserving the last star, only because whomever owns this franchise, doesn't deserve the few wonderful overworked, understaffed workers. They professionally work at their optimum despite the overwhelming business. There's only so much they can do with so many customers coming in and out! They need help. The workers ( 1 or 2) at a time, never complain, are very helpful and kind. It's insanely obvious the 1 or 2 on any given shift are wearing so many hats on their shift. I've used this uhaul several times in the last several years and it's always the same. Great workers, not enough of them.

Rented a truck about a week in advance. Show up that morning at my scheduled time. Took me 45 minutes to get a truck. Employee didn't seem to know what she was doing, kept assigning me to the wrong truck, and after 4 different truck assignments I finally get my truck and it's got a quarter tank of gas. Just all around a terrible experience. If it's not too far out of the way, the u haul on Arden is great.

I do not recommend this U-Haul location for the following reasons:1) It is very unprofessional to have the customer walk around the yard to find their own truck when there are employees available to pull the trucks out. On top of that, to have to pull a truck from the back when there were many in the front to choose from.2) The phone number of this location which is printed on the contract and listed on the internet does not work. We were not able to get a hold of anyone to help resolve problem.Review of U-Haul customer service line:Reserved the truck with a representative named Joy. She was pleasant, clear, and made the reservation process a breeze.Called customer service to dispute fuel level since we returned after hour and couldn't get a hold of the people at the pick up location the following day (see #2). Talk to a lady named Vanessa Davis and received poor customer service. She sounded like she was not fully awake or high or annoyed. Definitely not the kind of tone you would expect at 8am in the morning. I let her know the gas tank is filled more than when we picked up and she said we should have only filled what was needed and couldn't do anything about it since I don't have proof of the before filled level. I can accept that since I am only disputing a small amount of fuel. However, I would assume there would be some empathy coming from Ms. Davis in situations like this. All I got was bad attitude. Very unprofessional.I DO NOT and WILL NOT recommend this location to anyone.

Poor customer service. An older male filling propane tanks today appeared to be overwhelmed by customers needing propane. He was obviously agitated by the high volume of business the company was receiving today. Instead of being grateful he has a job and U-Haul is making money, he lost his temper as I was walking up to get my propane tank refilled. Yelling at me in an aggressive / disrespectful manner, "don't bring that over here, youll be waiting for 40 minutes!" I went to am/pm for a refill and will never go back to this U-Haul for anything.

Terrible customer service trying to get propane, nobody is certified except one person, every time I go in there I see new employees, what is the problem over there, you guy's are not paying the staff very much

Very unprofessional service, I came here 15 mins before closing and the 2 people that worked there, male and female, (one with a white Honda and one with a grey Lexus) literally closed the door on my face. Most likely because they didn’t want to deal with a return super late. Great customer service, highly recommended ??

Don't know why those place gets so much hate! I had a great experience and rented from them 2 days in a row. Great customer service, very fast and friendly.
