We have a new puppy and noticed blood in his stool. I called all over the Sacramento area to find an immediate vet appointment with no luck. When I called Natomas VCA, they made an exception and got us in first thing the following morning. The staff was amazing, no wait time to be seen, and Dr. Miller showed compassion and concern for both our puppy and us. The next day, I received a follow up text from the vet tech, Natalie, checking in to see how our baby was doing. When the test results came back, I received a call from Dr. Miller informing us that our puppy had Giardia, and would need medications. My husband picked up the meds same day, and our baby is on his way to recovery. This is the best vet clinic I’ve ever been to and I highly recommend them!

This place never has appts.Just called because my dog has developed a really bad ear infection and she needs care. Called and they told me they don't have anything until march....are you kidding. Not first time this happens. Every time I call because I need to see a vet they don't have space for three months, and I am a returning patient.Seriously don't call yourself a pet hospital if you can help pets in need. Definitely going to move to a different vet. Someone who cares about pets more than money.

Edit manager(Rachel I believe) called me.back today to put all of the blame on the crematorium and none on her staff who adlibbed my request and changed it before sending it to the crematorium. They need to get their stuff together because all 3 documents I have from them say different things one says I will get a clay pawprint one says a wooden disk(came the size of a 80 lb dog for my chihuahua mix) and I did not receive the detailed pawprint I asked for because her receptionist changed the wording when sending to crematorium. They did give a refund but that isn't a fix. Their negligence messed up a situation that can not be fixed now. I hope they can never do this to someone else. I am NOT satisfied with the staff or managers resolution. I asked for a.simple apology from the company and girl who lied to my face and she refused.After my dogs sudden home death Dec 8th I took him in to be cremated and when we got there the 2 people there had no idea what they were doing and couldn't even tell me the price they were asking me to run my card for. Then they gave me a form with any special requests where I asked for a detailed ink pawprint be returned with his ashes. The techs then said it will come back with the ashes and a wood name plank. Then they printed "my" paperwork that they had put on someone else's account... I then had to give them my info AGAIN. Then after 2 weeks I go to pick him up and there is no paw print. She proceeds to blame the cremation company but then shows ne her paperwork where she failed to ask for the print!! So now I am waiting before a call back from management and I hope there's a resolution because this is negligent

There was an emergency for the main vet on that day. They called an amazing vet to sub in, reschedule me, saw 2 at once to make it easier on me.Thank you everyone involved.

The staff and Vets are good. Office is clean. There is a shortage in both Dr's. and appointments. Couldn't get an appointment for 3 weeks, and then it was canceled the same day. Understand things happen but didn't feel accommodated for rescheduling, which is now a month from my initial call. Reason for 2 stars.

Today I begged this hospital to help my little dog. Who was a previous client. He has a skin infection. I let them know that he is losing hair and that his skin was really red and looked infected. The person who answered the phone (I won't say her name because I don't want to get her in trouble) told me to put a cone on him. The next available appointment wasn't until the 23rd of September, approximately 9 days away. After she told me this, I begged her again for help. I pleaded because my boy was sick. She said the best she could do was a reference to a dermatologist. This place is supposed to be a hospital. You, VCA in West Sacramento, are horrible! The fact that someone can beg and beg you to help them, yet, you didn't, is what makes you the worst place in West Sacramento for our pets.

I recently brought in a kitten who was found in my neighborhood to be scanned for a microchip. I had never been to this facility before so I just wanted to comment on my experience. First I called to ask if I could bring the kitten in to get scanned and was told yes that could be done but they could not keep the kitten there. Brought the kitten in and Nicole who is such a caring person, scanned the kitten and found that he had a chip. This facility is very nice, clean and accommodating. The attendants were extremely nice and Nicole I appreciate your help. Thank you again. I would bring my cats here.

Too overly busy! Not the best if you need to get an appointment for an aging cat with multiple health concerns, a month or longer to get in, then was referred to a " New Company" further away & costs more!Not happy my vet also left and was not told until I called and asked for an appointment. If you have regular routines for a younger pet maybe this is the place. I don't believe this place is designed for cats with dogs mixed in the waiting area ( too small of an area, stressful for my cat) . I can't seem to get any great help for my elderly cat as to what she can eat! Maybe It's time for a change. It's been convenient for me, but not the best. This has just been my experience in many years I like them all very nice folks, but that doesn't equal Quality and service when it really counts!

By far the best experience I've had at the Vet. They were on time for our appointment, the vet spent a good 15-20 minutes with my dog, gave him a thorough examination. She answered all of my questions and was extremely helpful. The front staff is also very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to my friends and family.
