Apna Bazaar is a really good place to shop with a decent variety. It is a great spot for Indian chaat and sweets tucked into the corner of a market, open 24/7. It is a very no-nonsense and pretty lively spot where people hang out, especially late night. The line moves pretty quickly and it is always pretty busy, but you can sip on some free chai while you wait. The portions are large and great to share. The food is good, yummy, and reasonably priced. Favorites include samosa chaat, vada pav, Dahi Papdi, chana masala, butter paneer, and eggplant. The samosas are huge, intensely spiced, super inexpensive, and better than most restaurants. They also have unique eggless sweets like Ras Malai and Gulab Jamun cakes. There is a Pani Puri stand outside with five different flavors of water, which is worth the line. The owner and staff provide the best customer service; they are super nice and helpful. The market sells Halal Zabiha fresh meat and different brands of spices. Prices are better than others in the neighborhood, with highlights like a two-item combo for a steal. Some note it gets fairly cold at the outdoor tables in the evening.
