Big Blue Barn is part of the Yolo County Central Landfill's diversion program. Our goal is to keep useable items from being buried with trash. We take donations daily, between 10am and 3pm. The store is open for shoppers every Thursday, 9-3 and on the third Saturday of each month for a half-price sale. We sell building materials, housewares, furnishings, electronics and more. We do not accept baby items, upholstered furnishings, broken/missing parts items, or items not fully assembled. Clothing is recycled with textiles, but is not sold in the store. Their hours have gotten pretty slim but you can donate every day up to 3pm. The selection of bikes and back yard stuff is huge including vacuums and power equipment. Lots of new and inexpensive paint in a variety of standard colors.

OMGEEEE. I visited for the first time and was overjoyed with how many items were being saved from the landfills! YAYYYY! I think I was equally as saddened by how much was out in the elements and would eventually be tossed. Ski equipment and once beautiful wooden furniture getting wet...💔
