Econo Lodge Inn & Suites in Yreka, California, offers basic accommodations with mixed reviews. The hotel is family-owned and has been in the area for many years, with friendly staff who are praised for being nice and helpful. Many guests appreciated the cleanliness of the rooms, which were described as modern and tidy, with no bugs reported. The rooms on the bottom floor, such as room 40, featured comfy beds and effective air conditioning, although the AC sometimes stopped working and the room could get hot at night. Bathrooms are small but functional, and the doors are equipped with secure locks, although the chain lock is considered flimsy. The hotel’s blinds work well, and the walls are not soundproof, leading to noise from outside and neighboring rooms. The hotel’s location provides walkable access to nearby stores and food options, including a pizza place and a bar down the street, which sometimes results in noise or concerns about safety due to nearby homeless people and occasional loud disturbances. The breakfast is considered disappointing, with stale cinnamon rolls, limited cereal, and minimal offerings, though the coffee is praised as excellent. The outdoor pool is often dirty and locked, and the water lacks chlorine smell, which concerns some guests. The staff, mostly seen as friendly, apologized for issues like the pool’s condition. Security features are basic, with some guests noting the flimsy chain lock. Overall, the hotel is viewed as a decent choice for last-minute stays, offering good prices, friendly service, and good location, but with notable drawbacks such as noise, cleanliness issues in some rooms, and limited amenities.
The property is convenient as a stopover from driving on I-5 freeway. Well maintained and quiet. The owners live onsite and are very friendly. The rooms have been updated and are very clean. I felt safe staying there as a woman traveling alone.

Great little motel in Yreka. The staff is fantastic. I have a broken foot and they helped me with my bags into the room. I would stay here again.

I have stayed here multiple times for 4-5 days The rooms are always very clean and stocked with decent quality and quantity towels and coffee The one time I asked to have the coffee replenished , I found enough to open a coffee stand. The owner operators are very nice and accommodating
