They collected and returned her items, fed her the food we brought and were so understanding to keep her longer when our flight was delayed for an additional day. They both look terrific and smell good and that is why we take them to the groomer right? Anyway, Angel did a fantastic job, especially on my old girls nails. They had gotten so long and out of control and I was scared to death of trimming them too close. But Angel is a pro and he was able to get those nails trim back so that maybe I can handle them better now myself. Thank you, Angel. I really appreciate it. Good job.

On multiple occasions, they have worked with me to get my dogs back to full health, always keeping me informed and helping me make the best decisions without ever making me feel pressured.
What has stood out most to me is their compassion, especially when I’ve been in a tight financial spot. They have worked with me to find a path forward, and I have always felt that my pets’ health and well-being were a greater priority to them than access to my wallet. I’m incredibly grateful for the care my dogs have received here.

35484 Carter Street, YucaipaI’ve been involved in dog sports for many years. However, this is my first attempt at Agility with one of my dogs...all of which have been Beagles. I never thought we'd be able to complete, but because of MJ , I think we may actually have a change to get a Title some day. We still have a long way to go, but I see light at the end of the 'tunnel'. More than having being a really talented trainer, MJ has taught me to be patient with my dog; which is really hard when your dog is genetically programmed to sniff the ground rather than tackle an obstacle. Unlike most trainers, who’s training skills seem to be limited to the herding/sporting breeds, MJ adapts her training to the dog breed you have and makes us all feel like Winners! Thanks MJ for creating a great experience for Ben and me. Tuesday nights have become the high-light of our week.

It’s very expensive, so we can’t go for every meal like we’d like to 🤣 But we always go as a treat when we can. This is my favorite place around and probably number one overall of all the places I’ve been to and always want to return to. It’s like a home cooked meal - if you had a personal chef making your meals. I love it.

39611 Oak Glen Road, YucaipaWe've been taking the kids here for years. The farm is wonderful, such a lovely way to spend the day. There is a big corn maze, a pumpkin patch, lots of apple trees to go apple picking and they also have berry picking. Fresh BBQ, apple foods and treats are all available for purchase in addition to multiple gift shops with a selection of fun things. I don't know if we came on a bad weekend or if social media just made apple picking the new thing, but in the past we walked right into the apple orchards to pick fruit and this year there were lines of people standing in the hot sun that we were told took at least 45 minutes to get through just to be allowed to pick apples. So this year the kids didn't even get to pick apples. Perhaps waiting until October would be less crowded but I don't know how the apple selection is at that point. There are picnic benches, big grassy playing areas for kids with live music, restrooms and port a potties. Beautiful place to get away from the city, but this year we ran into massive crowds, so be aware that it can happen.

We came to YAPS after an unexpected death left two much-loved, bonded dogs needing a new home. We were managing everything from out of state, and our biggest priority was not simply finding somewhere to take them. We wanted an organization that genuinely cared about finding them a loving, permanent home together.
The intake process took time and there was a fair amount of paperwork, but ultimately we understood why. YAPS takes its responsibility to these animals seriously.
Kristen was incredibly helpful and reassuring from our first conversation, and Arianna worked with us through the intake process and logistics. Most importantly, they understood how much it meant to us that these two dogs stay together.
Shortly after they became available for adoption, I noticed their photos had disappeared from the website. I immediately panicked and emailed to find out what had happened. I couldn’t have been happier to learn that a family had fallen in love with them and adopted them together! We truly could not have asked for a happier ending.
YAPS does this work every day for animals who need a safe place and a second chance. We will always be grateful to them and wholeheartedly encourage others to adopt, foster, volunteer or donate. This is an organization worth supporting.
