Had a one night stay for a soccer tournament and this was the most reasonable place close to the fields. Do not let the humble appearance of the outside fool you. The rooms were very comfortable and super clean. Breakfast, while small, was perfect for a quick start. Over all great stay and will be recommended to any travel headed this way.

Centrally located, clean room with good amenities. Microwave, Mini Fridge, 4 cup Coffee maker with quality coffee to boot.

We stayed for 10 days as our daughter lives in town and just had a baby. We booked the apartment and found it to be perfectly suited to our needs. It is nicely updated and laid out with a lovely fully equipped kitchen. The beds are very comfy with a nice leather couch in the living area plus 2 tvs. The free breakfast is very good with several options and it’s a short walk to all other restaurants and shops that the quaint town of Basalt has to offer. Easy drive to all surrounding beautiful towns of Aspen, Carbondale and Redstone. Staff was very friendly and helpful! Coming back in January!

Good place to stay. Bit pricy but as there is no alternative, this is good one to stay. Good part is breakfast is complimentary and bad part is it doesn't have air conditioner.

Aspenalt was the perfect place to stay for our ski trip to Aspen Snowmass! It was a super close drive (I even think the shuttles would have picked up close by if we needed them), the rooms were very cute with nice comfy beds and most importantly, the service here was above and beyond! Thank you so much to the staff here for accommodating us despite some confusion with our check-in time and schedule which was definitely my fault. It would be nice if they had 24 hour service front desk service, but I would not hesitate to stay here again!Rooms: Very comfortable beds and clean and up to date roomsNearby activities: Skiing!

4+ stars for this recent reno just down the highway from Aspen/Snowmass. Posh modern decor and rooms over looking Roaring Fork River. Wayyyy better than expected. Excellent beds and could not hear neighbors. From the outside it looks like it might have once been a Howard Johnsons motel or something like that but the rooms were lovely and quickly dispel that thought. $269/night midweek for two queens during ski season. One note to mgmt is that our better battery was dead in the morning and there was no one on site that could help even the front desk didn't have jumper cables, so that might be something you want to keep there -just in just a thought. (in the end a good Samaritan helped us so we did not have to wait for the tow truck.)

Definitely not a five star hotel. I think the reason they mark it as a two star hotel is because it's a Motel. However it has everything you need, nice clean rooms, breakfast included and quite a few restaurants around.
