I used to love Berthoud Drug. I will never go back after a month of trying to resolve a medication for which they gave me the wrong dosage. When I tried to contact them, they kept saying it was the same. If the dosage on a filled prescription is different than the dosage on the written prescription from a doctor, they are not the same. In addition, they stopped delivery services with no notification. For people who are disabled or unable to get to the pharmacy, this is a huge let down. There are many pharmacy providers that will fill prescriptions as written and not charge you for their mistakes. I am still waiting for a refund for a drug I paid double for. Avoid this "pharmacy" at all costs. They lost their focus...rather than helping people who need medications, they would rather sell you a worthless trinket.

They are a lot further than the Mountain Ave, Berthoud. The new store is very nice & much bigger. It's going to be an adventure to explore!

I switched my prescription to home delivery because of the inept pharmacist employees that work there. Tom is wonderful and always helpful, however, Josh the owner is never there. Somehow, they took one of my prescriptions and decided to fill it when I had it switched to home delivery. My insurance company told me to tell them to return it to stock and reverse my insurance so that they could fill it for me. I got a message saying they “just did that”, and I found out that, that wasn’t the case. They didn’t reverse it and I had to have several calls to correct what they messed up. Carl is definitely missed because he actually cared and went above and beyond. These people only want your birth date or prescription number. Not what it used to be. And I’m not going back. I hope you’re reading this Josh. Truly disappointing.Thanks for replying to my review, Josh. Actually you are completely wrong with your “tech” completing the reversal. In talking with both home delivery and my insurance, the reversal was NOT done correctly. But thanks for trying to say that it was. It doesn’t take away from me having to wait for 9 days because of her inadequacies in doing her job correctly. After many years of going to Berthoud Drug and having Carl fill my prescriptions correctly, I am no longer satisfied with the way you run your pharmacy. I know what the HIPPA laws are and agree with those. However, this pharmacy no longer has the personal touch that Carl had. We’re just a number, not a person. You say you’re in the pharmacy every day? Yet every time we go in, you’re absent.

I don't understand all the positive reviews for this place. I had an issue with some medication recently and after being on hold for ten minutes, the pharmacist got on the phone and was gruff and impatient with me, did not answer my question clearly, and then hung up on me. I don't appreciate being treated like a nagging child when I have a question about a medication refill. Plus, the pharmacy staff is perpetually befuddled and look like they just wandered in off the street. They never ask you for the same ID method twice, (name? birthdate? prescription number?) and act like they are doing you a favor every time they dole out your little meds to you. I bet prison pharmacies are more professional. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Truly sad after at least 10 years as a customer and requesting a required twice daily medication at least three days ahead of time, going to the pharmacy after two days to check on the prescription because there's been no contact, and finding out it's not available! Also not available, after the weekend, on the next business day because it didn't get ordered as we were told it would be! Totally unacceptable and so very disappointing!!

I drive from Fort Collins to pick up my prescriptions here and it’s worth the trip! The staff are all so friendly :) I love that the refill process is fast and efficient. Their app works better than the chain drugstore apps I’ve used. If I have to call to ask a question, I don’t get treated like a nuisance (*cough cough CVS*). There is only one issue I face going to Berthoud Drug - Forcing myself not to buy a bunch of things from the gift shop side ?

I used the pharmacy this week for the very first time and I was a little confused with the whole process of paying but the pharmacy and front desk lady were super helpful. Very friendly staff and cute shop.

After going in on 3 separate occasions for ONE medication, they still did not get my medication correct. Even after I transferred my prescription, they continued to try to fill it and bill my insurance despite me asking them to stop. They always blamed some other company or person for their errors. I always try to support small businesses, but I do not recommend this one.

What a great local business! The pharmacist saved me $500 by asking questions!!! My laser eye center prescriptions were $650 and I nearly fell over. They had prescribed brand name instead of generic and a more expensive option on another med. After several back and forth adjustments, the pharmacist got it down to $150! Thanks to him for paying attention and bothering to try to improve it!And this store has a great selection of medicines, PLUS well curated gifts.
