“My old vet had diagnosed my dogs' limp as a partially torn acl from an x-ray, but not able to do surgery, so I sent the x-ray to a couple of surgeons, who qouted me $4-6k to start. I made deposits with them since appointments were very far out, but kept looking. I ran across Dr. Eskridge, who could see Stella, my dog, in a few weeks. When we got to the exam room, Dr. E. plopped down on the floor next to her, asking questions, checking her teeth, and manipulating her leg. We were both calmed by Dr.E's demeanor. Dr. E showed me a weird movement in Stellas' knee, explaining that it was her muniscus causing her to limp. A couple shots, a supplement, and a couple of follow-ups later, and maybe a couple of hundred dollars, Stella was back to her old self! It's been a year now. We live past county roads, in the Wet Mountains, outside of Westcliffe. Stella is 13 now, and still runs as fast and long as ever! I can't express how Dr. E. changed our possible future. We had lost my wife, Mama to Stella, I was in a financial bind at the time, but Dr. E. was there for us. We went for shots etc. Monday, Stella was beside herself with anticipation! Thank you, Doctor! You are blessed, and a blessing!”

“I’ve taken every animal I have to this vet. And just recently I had to put down my dog. These people are the most compassionate and caring humans I’ve ever encountered. They all made sure my dog was comfortable and got all the treats she wanted. They gave me as much time as I wanted with her and even when I picked up her ashes they were so kind and everything looked beautiful. I’ve never recommended a place more than I’ll recommend this one. I adore the staff and how well they actually care.”

“Dr. KK has been our vet for our two dogs since Sept 2024. Both are rescues, one is an American Staffordshire Terrier (Capone 5y) with severe allergies (ear infections and skin issues), and the other is a Sheep-a-Doodle (Ben 2y). We are seen in the Westcliffe location. Rose Vet neutered Ben in 2024, as well as performed a dental exam/cleaning under anesthesia in 2026--both at the Canon City location. We've experienced excellent care for both of our beloved doggoes. Dr KK and staff always patiently and kindly explain treatment plans and costs (the latter being quite reasonable). We never have any trouble getting appts, and each and every staff member has been professional and friendly. We are extremely satisfied with and trust the care given to Ben and Capone by Rose Vet.”
