Grocery pickup has been such a mess with these guys. I’ve tried 3 times and they’re always way behind schedule. Walmart in Southlands does a MUCH better job. Also I want to love Kroger for the couponing but it’s hit or miss wether they’ll go through and staff has not been helpful. Just not worth the hassle IMO.

Employees need to learn customer service. They are playing around when it is busy, and then when the customer sees it, the employee has an attitude when called out. It's not appreciated, nor is it professional. Needs to be corrected.

The Employee who helped me buy from the Chesters Chicken inside the store was amazing; super nice and polite, kudos to her. But the “manager” was downright being weird. I ordered 3 of the 8 piece chicken orders and he tells me I can only buy 2. At first I thought he was joking, he was not… I have a big family and we needed food what am supposed to do? never seen a business turn down money before. Very strange business model if you ask me, or just really bad management. 3 stars only because of the employee through no fault of their own getting in the middle of this bizarre clash between a manager and a paying customer. If you’re turning away money, maybe you should give that manager role to somebody more capable.

Out of stock on items they used to carry. Guess they needed the room to sell wine. Maybe liquor stores should get permission to sell grocery items. Do we need to vote in a general election? The biggest complaint is at check out. Constant glitches in their computer system, plus it's a royal pain when you bring your own bags. Expectation is to place your bag on their weight sensitive bag area. Not at all convenient, and constantly hitting "skip bagging" slows the process down. Self-checkout, "express lane," SLOW. Plus waiting for an attendant can be iffy at best, as they are off in other areas to stock! Not enough stations open, but then again, if their system doesn't work properly, wouldn't matter. Very disappointed in what used to be my go to store. Now I shop at two different stores. What Walmart doesn't have, I shop at Kings. Have cut my Kings bill 90%.

No matter what time of day you go, you will wait in a line at this location. They rarely have people to bag or even check you out, so if you have a large cart prepare to scan and bag it all yourself at one of their tiny spots meant for a few items. Which means it takes twice the time. Often the employees will stand around and chat. employees are mostly very friendly and they usually have good selection I feel. If they did not we'd be at Safeway every time. I avoid when I can.

Honestly sucks now. Always huge lines to do self check out. God help you if you’re doing a full cart (IE a week’s worth) because there’s oy 1 checker, or possibly none if its after 8pm.Prices are bad, but thats the whole country so forgiven. But man, produce is poor and meat selection is always low. Deli line is long as can be… just nothing good to say any more about what used to be a local icon.Went to Safeway twice in the past month after decades of not shopping there and I was stunned how much better literally everything was. But Safeway is probably 5-10% more expensive.

Thank you for turning down the volume of the "B--ch in the Box" at the self checkouts. It sounds like Jane Fonda scolding me to "put the checked item in the bag". Please keep the volume very low or , better, off. Also, please stock kimchi again!

This is going to be a review primarily concerning King Sooper's grocery pick up service as it was my main method of shopping at this location.I have used the pickup service for years. During the height of the pandemic, it was great for helping to keep my family safe, but it was also a great way to stay inside of our tight grocery budget as well as save on time management. While there have been some hiccups here and there - missing items, delays - the customer service has always been worth it until very recently. There was a span of about 3 weeks where I would pick up my groceries and come home to find something was missing. Not just a small item like a single vegetable (which I've often let go as it as not worth the hassle of going back to the store) but huge important items - 4 cases of soda, large trays of chicken, etc, things my family really needed for the week. These are never marked as out of stock or substituted, just simply missing even though they were charged on my receipt and would require me having to call it in, make my way all the way back to the store, and sometimes be told that those items weren't even in stock after having already driven back to pick them up. Like I said earlier, the customer service has always been good, and I would normally be very forgiving for things like these; however, after week after week of repeated instances, it began to feel very frustrating. This finally culminated last week when I was on my way to pick up my order, and while driving, I received a call that no shopping had been done that day due to staffing shortages. I was told I would receive a discount and would receive a text message the next morning with a time to pick up my groceries. This was inconvenient, but I was okay with this. The next morning came, no text message was received, and I called the store to check the status. Again, I was told no shopping had been done, and this time the employee seemed completely unaware of when I might expect my groceries to be done. I asked if they would be ready that evening after work and was told "Maybe?" Very frustrating but I was willing to wait regardless. Finally, I called again in the afternoon, and this time, there were no phones being answered. The line just rang indefinitely. At this point, I am upset because my family has been out of food for a day, and we had no money to go pick up anything else until this order was resolved. I decided to visit the store in person where I recalled everything I typed above. Not a single apology was made to me at the store, and it turned out my grocery order was ready at this point but no one had informed me. I double checked that I would be receiving the discount on this order, and was told yes. (It's usually a standard $20 off the entire order which I have received before without asking for far less inconvenient delays than this one.) After waiting for a while in the pickup location, my groceries were finally loaded in, and I received my receipt only to find there was NO discount given on this order whatsoever and I was charged full price.I understand staffing shortages are really hurting this location, and that is completely understandable. I have defended the store on many occasions even while being inconvenienced because I had come to know many of the staff here, and they have always been kind and lovely people. However, the current management is severely lacking and couldn't even offer a verbal apology to this absolutely frustrating situation. I will absolutely not be using this service anymore in the future and will be moving my custom to another store here on out.

Rude management. My girlfriend was trying to do an Instacart order and needed her ID for cough syrup, which the customer needed and I was bringing it in so she can get it and one of the ladies was being extremely rude saying I needed my ID as well even though I wasn’t even buying it and it wasn’t even 11 pm at this point but they were threatening to call the police for absolutely no reason. Horrible and rude for NO REASON.

Don’t bother doing pickup! The last 4 times we have ordered online our groceries have not been ready. If they can’t fulfill orders then maybe they should not offer the service. The least they could do is offer free delivery!

it's a perfectly adequate grocery store, completely average. the lines are long ... not so long you want to leave, but long enough that you can't visit on your lunch break. REALLY disappointed that they have a "Boar's Head" counter, yet every time I've been there it's completely empty - including prime times like lunchtime and dinnertime. Why advertise something you don't actually sell?
