So we took the recent Halloween cookie class. Instructor was frazzled through the entire class because she had never made the cookies before and seemed freaked out the entire time because they were taking longer than she thought. She was sort of barking orders and then barked at the kids "DON'T TOUCH THE COOKIES! THINK OF THIS AS A PROFESSIONAL KITCHEN" well um yeah sure but they're kids. And it's a HANDS ON BAKING CLASS. The same kids that were touching the cooked cookies were then taking them home (they were touching the cookies right in front of them, not the other group's cookies). Other instructor came in at the end and started talking with our instructor about the next class so we were left to wrap up the frosting of the cookies without much of a glance. We just kind of left. It wasn't as enjoyable as I expected. Not sure I'd do another one.

My wife and I signed up for a class. We had 5 people in the class. Why only 2 stations and not 3? Forced us to work with and share food and utensils with a stranger. This was meant to be a date for us. It's just so obvious to put the single guy on his own station! Uncomfortable and unnecessary. People with long hair are suggested to wear hair tie, or hat. Our chef had a wonderful example of what type of hair should have a chef hat at a minimum, if not a hair net! Yet she wore neither. Not worth it! Will not recommend.

A bit disappointed in the passport to doughnut class we took today (8/20). The instructor was very unprepared and at the end had us rushing to finish everything. He also missed steps for our churros so that they weren’t done quite right. Everyone in the class seemed very confused each time he moved to the next step.We have done many cooking classes before (always at Uncorked) and are used to sharing ingredients with other parties but was surprised that we were paired up with 2 other and had to do everything as a group of 4 - definitely took away from our overall experience.Would not spend money on a class here again - would just book Uncorked instead. Much better experience going there.

Signed up for a cooking class several days in advance. Got a call the morning of saying it was cancelled and never got to do the class. Did not receive a refund, had to email customer service a week later to get my $160 back.

See previous review of store...After what started as a possibly bad experience, we had decided to stay and give the cooking class a chance. The Chef's were not the employee's who had been working in the store. We entered class and were immediately Welcomed by Chef Dean (Please excuse me if the name is incorrect) he introduced himself, where he trained, and previously worked. Then had the class say a little about ourselves. Very warm, and welcoming. Everything was ready, & well organized for class. We worked in groups of four. He explained extra cooking information that was great info to use at home. We worked in easy steps, everything ran very smoothly. The food was completed at precisely the right time. We all sat down and ate our prepared meal. You chat with folks you've never met. Chef had low nice music playing. Chef chatted with everyone the entire time. All in all a great experience in the cooking class. Unfortunately, due to the prior experience we personally will not repeat this. Classes range in prices and are both inexpensive to higher end cost classes. Children's classes are also offered. Thank you Chef. You are wonderful at your job. There should be a separate entrance for your section.

We took the Passport to Donuts and other pastries class. to celebrate our 41st anniversary . It really was a fast paced and fun class. Worked in groups of 4 so we met another couple and that experience just added to the fun. The teacher was fabulous. We learned some new cooking skills as well as how to work with dough and baking/ frying pastries . And we had a box of the of 3 types of our baked goods to take home!

This place is clean and welcoming. Emi helped me in my search for an espresso machine. She answered all of my questions and gave me a demo! She has beautiful energy and made the experience lovely! We will be back for our kitchen things! Thank you!!!

First time at this store and the lady who looks to be the Manager (an Asian lady with glasses) is SO unwelcoming and rude. From the minute you walk in, she just stares at you the whole time while you shop. I heard her cuss to another associate about someone’s order. When I checked out they didn’t ask me if I wanted a bag which I thought was obvious since I was buying a gift. The man at the register was about to give me one and she rudely stepped in saying, “it’s going to be .10 cents and kept repeating it… like, really? I ended up just leaving without a bag. Word of advice to the higher ups… please invest in employees who will actually represent your store well and have good customer service skills. This lady should not work in retail or any customer facing position. Definitely not her forte.

This is our first time taking a cooking date night class through Sur La Table and it was worth every moment! The instructor did a wonderful job taking us step by step in creating our dinner menu! He made it fun and very easy to follow. We had some great Motown music in the background. Which made cooking fun and fulfilling. The food came out wonderful and delicious!!!We were surprised with a delicious Panna Cotta for dessert!!We were emailed the recipe at the end of the evening. This truly completed our evening. We not only left class with a full belly and heart. We left the class with wonderful friendships. Will definitely be taking another class very soon!!!

I just completed the Ramen cooking class with two of my friends. There were 10 people in the class. I looked around after we ate the Ramen that we had made. I noticed that no one had eaten more than 50% of the food . Some people only ate a couple of bites. It was not good at all: the noodles were gummy, the pork was fatty, and the strong tuna flavor of the broth was not appetizing. At $89 a person we were all disappointed. I think this class should be scrapped because the process for preparing the noodles and the broth is very long, and the ingredients have to be purchased at an Asian market. It's just not feasible that anyone would make this. I am giving two stars because the chef and the staff were very nice.

This review is for the in person Creative Croissants Class with Chef Anne as well as the team that assisted during class—George and Susan. Susan was very welcoming at check-in and with directing all the participants with where to sit, what to grab and George was very helpful during class; brining additional baking trays, silicone sheets and anything else the participants needed. Chef Anne was extremely informative about different approaches and techniques, she pointed out what to look for when making dough and what factors to consider like the humidity in our kitchens at home—all the little details that make for truly exceptional croissants! Chef Anne readily answered questions and mentioned some history behind the croissants recipes and their regional origins. I have taken at least 3 other cooking classes at a different Sur La Table locations and this class was by far the best. I would only suggest to allot about three hours for this class versus the 2 suggested online.

I have never actually been inside of this store but I ordered Christmas cookie cutters a few days before Christmas via Amazon. My order was hand delivered in a sur la table bag (not amazon) straight from the store that night when it was 0 degrees and snowing outside. I will now be a loyal customer - thank you so much Sur La Table staff!

This was the Dim Sum class. This was more of an experience than it was a class. The instructor started late was very rushed never really taught anything and I felt like I was in an incredible hurry to get the food made and get out.Highly disappointing.
