Ace Hardware Stetson Hills is the best hardware store in Colorado Springs! Not only do they always have everything I am looking for, but their employees are the best bar none. Earlier this week I called with a question about supplies for a DYl project. Chris picked up and answered my questions accurately and fully. When I got to the store he assisted me in finding everything I had thought I needed and he also made additional recommendations that really helped me formalize my project plans. Chris cut PVC pipe for me and when I asked if he could also drill holes in the pipe sections he said they didn't have the equipment in the store, but he could take it home and have them ready in a couple days. He called me in two days to come pick the pipe sections up and I found he did the job perfectly! Nowadays, who goes out of their way to help a customer by going above and beyond to do something for them at home? Chris did and he didn't charge me either!Chris is an Air Force veteran, so a big shout out to all veterans!Ace Hardware Stetson Hills is the best hardware store in the city and I believe Chris is not only their best employee, but the best employee in the city. Way to go!

Worst ace hardware in the springs. Their prices are higher than all the other stores. And their hours say closes at 7:00 and they're not open at 6:30.This was on a Tuesday, I see where the problem is now.

I was chastised by a store employee for using one of the rolling ladders to retrieve the bolts and nuts I needed. I looked for a signs that indicated only store employees were allowed to use the rolling ladders but did not see any. I don't enjoy paying full price for items in an establishment where I am scolded by an associate. I guess it's back to the big box stores for me.

Went to this store, as I have for years. Was dressed down and relaxed in a hoodie and sweats. Walked in and was instantaneously harassed by staff because of my appearance and the fact that I carry a small backpack, as I do to every store I go in (including this one. But when I'm dressed differently and my hair is up, it's never an issue). They insisted that I leave or give them my bag. I am a wealthy tech worker who would never hand over my devices or the bags holding them to anyone without a warrant. Disgusting treatment of a customer for 6 years just because they didn't recognize me due to being dressed down. Will NEVER return.Edit in response: YOUR shrink rate should never be MY, the consumers, problem. Nor should consumers EVER feel responsible for it. Maybe save some of that money you ?'s give to right-wing groups and staff up some proper loss prevention. Lowes Pro Services LESSSGOOOO!

Customer service severely lacking at the counter. The least the cashier can do is at least say "thank you", but still cannot do it. Got the most sour looking face ever. Negativity oozing out of their skin. Perhaps ,maybe because I am not caucasian.Unthankful people will never level up in life. Definitely an entitled loser mentality.At least smile. There are people in this world who would love to be in these people's shoes.

Jim and Pamela are absolutely amazing!!! ✨ I came into the shop needing help with my bike seat and Jim went out of his way to not only help me find the right size tools, but also helped me adjust everything. What ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐+ service!!! This is officially my new go-to home improvement store and beyond.

With a parking lot full, a line 5 people long and growing the woman checking people out was working very hard and doing her best. The 5 other employees standing around watching was disgraceful. If any of them is a manager they should be ashamed of themselves.

I grew up in Gunnison Colorado, and when I go into this store I'm telling you, I feel like I'm home. There is such a small town feeling in this particular Ace, it's like everyone is family. I never mind at all if getting my paint mixed takes a little bit longer. Everyone who works there is fantastic. Smiles everywhere. It's 100% better than those big box stores ?

Buyers be ware, if you purchase an item from any Ace Hardware you can ONLY return the item to the SAME ACE WHERE THE ITEM WAW PURCHASE. What? What?.. what!? They will not take it

Ron is the Man!! We have a traeger and started frequenting this Ace Hardware whenever we need pellets and accessories. Ron has always helped us find what we are looking for and is Excellent at Recommending the perfect seasonings and sauces for whatever we plan on smoking! Best Ace in the Springs! Go see Ron! ?

I have been going to this location for a while now for various home improvement projects and mainly to get my propane tanks refilled. Today I went in the front door and was greeted (or grumbled at) with a miserable sounding, "How can we help you." I said, I'm here to get a couple propane tanks filled please." The girl at the front shouted, "Dave! Are we filling propane tanks?" Dave shouted back, "Not until 4:13!" This was a little confusing so I asked why 4:13? She said, "Because of the weather." I said, "Ok, well it's a little before 4 pm so I can't wait. Will someone meet me out there after 4:13?" She answered, "Ummm, no, you'll probably have to just come back in." I thought this was a little strange and frustrating. But, ok. I waited until 4:15 and headed back in... sunny skies at this point. Walking in, I was grumbled at by the same person, "How can we help you." I said, "Yeah, just would like to get my propane tanks filled now." She got on the store radio and said, "Propane!" Someone responded, "Not until 4:28." She looked and me and just said, "4:28 now." At this point, I left and headed elsewhere. I mean, how hard is it to just give an explanation about some regulation that says they can't fill propane tanks during cloudy weather? Or how about a simple, "I'm so sorry, we actually are prohibited from filling them until all the thunder passes. Hopefully it will be in the next 20 min or so, and we'll have someone meet you out there as soon as we can." Seriously, that's like basic customer service type stuff. I'm done going to ACE hardware based on this experience.Now, I have managed a retail facility before. I know firsthand how hard it is to find good employees who give good customer service. I really don't know who's at fault for this girl's lack of customer service skills. Is it a training issue? Was she just having a bad day? Or is finding an employee who gives good customer service these days sort of like getting the occasional bucket of water from a well that went mostly dry 20 years ago??? I don't know. But, this wasn't just lackluster customer service. It was like asking to do business there was a major inconvenience. I had my propane tanks filled down the street in 10 min.

Don’t think about taking your window screen replacements here for new builds . I dropped my off a month ago lost time and money because Ron ended up spray painting mine without telling me . Then sanded the overspray and made the screens lopsided. He then said “that’s all I can do “Then he says “you have to talk to management to fix it”On top of that the lady clerk didn’t even get the right measurements even when I took them the old frames . I just keep getting the run around about lack of materials and “we want to get them right “ per assistant manager Brad . Even though they never made a effort to get them right from the first time . This is unacceptable. At this point I’d rather have full refund for wasted time. They rather put other things ahead then fixing their own mistakes . Never again to wait a month for 4 simple screens . Inferior replacements for the prices they charge . I won’t update this review until they fix their inferior product replacements or give me a full refund . What a mistake it was coming here . Never again .

99% of staff are pleasant and helpful, younger cashier appears to have zero communation skills and moody.interaction: I set 8 akwardly carried items to counter. She grabs and scans ea item, she interrupts her conversation about the weekend with other cashier to state price. The Sale items didnt show on my screen so I asked if sale price was applied. She looks and replies YUP.I pay and she askes do you want your receipt, I state no thank you.She continues her conversation with coworker and I interrupt and ask if I can get a bag. She replies 10 cents state law. so I pay via card and and take my items and say thank you and I get the customer service special response of YUP.Very big negative for this otherwise good store
