Literally the worst grocery store I've been in. It is impossible to find anything in here. Also, DO NOT use their store coffee grinder, especially if you need it for espresso grind. It is entirely too fine and may damage your machine like mine. I recommend driving to the next closest or the KS nearby. I have literally never come out of that store not frustrated.

All staff have been friendly and helpful to me. I go there about twice a week. What this store needs to improve on is having items stocked. I just came back from this Safeway, and there was no store made mild guacamole over by the produce section, only two spicy guacamole. This has been happening the last month or so now. I talked to the manager, and she is going to let the produce manager know this. When I have went there this past month, in the evening time, they are pretty much out of all the store made guacamole. Its football playoff season, so maybe customers are buying more, which means, Produce Manager, you need to MAKE MORE, to insure this is in stock when loyal customers like me, come shop there frequently! Also, there have been times when I come in the early evening, and they are out of regular milk that is on coupon, they are out of the pillsbury and even signature safeway biscuits. They have been out of distilled water, and some of the shredded cheese is out of stock I normally buy there. Also, they have plenty of safeway potato salad in the deli cooler, but are out of the macaroni salad many times. Also, the breakfast burritos that are $5.00, they are frequently out of. This store needs to realize that this area on the other side of 25 (Rockrimmon, Centennial, Allegheny streets are growing, and therefore need to make sure items on the shelf are stocked! Also, there is pretty much always a line in checkout! 4 self checkouts are not enough, again this area is growing! Need to add a couple more self checkouts to have 6 registers, maybe even 8 total! I would have a meeting with all the managers at this location, and even have the regional manager involved. The topic should be discussed, "How do we improve our store overall, in a growing area" Thanks for the response. I wanted to add a note, some reviews say that people are not helpful or rude there at this Safeway. I have not experienced that in almost 2 years shopping this location. All the workers there have pretty much been helpful to me when needed.

The store and the products were great but when I came to the register, there was a very very mean cashier there. She did not great me, did not smile, did not ask me, how I was doing or if I found everything ok. Her name tag read DODIE. I asked her about the App and that there was a $5,- coupon for installing the App. She gave no answer at all and ignored me completely, while ringing up items. Several times, I tried to ask her other questions about special offers that were advertised on the Safeway App. No answer! I do not understand, how a cashier can be so unfriendly and very mean. She did not even attempt to answer any of my questions at all! I was not made felt welcome or appreciated as a shopper. This experience was awful and it was only because of Dodie and her horrible attitude, which gives your whole store a bad rep.

Update: I want to note that if you check Google reviews of this store, you will also see that this employee Lisa has had multiple negative reviews this year (specifically calling her out by name) one as recently as two weeks ago. Clearly, this is not an isolated incident. Lisa (the older blonde woman working in the self-checkout line) was very disrespectful and condescending to me when I had asked her to cancel an item from my transaction. Instead of listening to me, she continued to try to weigh the item (which was fruit), and when she could not weigh the item, she tried to move me registers (all after I had asked her to take the item off my transaction). I continued to reiterate that I wanted to cancel the item from my transaction and after saying it several times (after trying to weigh the item, and move me), she went ahead and canceled the fruit from my transaction. At this point, Lisa had spent an additional 4 - 5 minutes attempting to weigh the fruit and cancel my entire transaction. Additionally, when I was asking Lisa to cancel the fruit from the transaction her tone got very condescending and disrespectful (which was heard by the person I was on the phone with whom I put on speakerphone, and they were in shock by the way in which she was talking to me). When I was leaving I asked Lisa for her name and at that point she raised her voice (with customers around), got aggressive with me, told me her name, and told me I can talk to her boss. I declined and left. I am a younger person and I dont know if Lisa thought that because of that she could talk to me in the tone which she did however, as an employee you are held to standards of customer service. I also find it completely inappropriate to raise your voice at a customer, talk to them in a condescending/disrespectful manner, and continue to act in a way that is literally against the customer's wishes. I am disappointed in this experience and if you read other reviews on this store in Yelp the poor customer service in this store seems to be a recurring issue. Moving forward I will reevaluate if I will shop at this location or Safeway in general ever again.

Dirty disgusting store from the second you approach. They never clean the sidewalk and entrance, and the area by the carts is way dirtier than my garage floor. All around the store the floor is damaged and dirty. The produce shelves have rotting food under the produce, lots of things are not in stock. The staff could care less about customers. Homeless hang in front and beg. It's an awful store. I recently shopped at the one in woodland park and wish we had a store like that. Never going back. Should call the Heath department on them

I like going to safe way its not as crowded as other places and if you dow load the app you save a lot more than the other stores as well I really didn't want to give e this information cause it was a good lil secret. But I have to let people know about how much smarter it is to go shopping at safeway plus the employees are very respectful and always willing to help

Clean, well-stocked store.Update September 2023:What a fantastic experience in this store!Rodney was very helpful on the floor with finding items. Logan was so friendly at the register and with the checkout process. The store is so neat and clean, so well-stocked, and very easy to navigate! They had a lot of Oktoberfest items that we cannot find at our local Safeway, so that was fun!The bathroom situation is a bit weird. The bathrooms are locked, an employee has to walk you to the bathroom, let you in, and you cannot take any items but your phone and wallet (no bag) with you. I am not sure what that is about, but the bathrooms themselves were neat and clean.

Nice store, clean. We were visiting from out of state (no Safeways near where we live) so a helpful clerk helped us sign up for a customer discount card.

I was in your location on Garden of the gods earlier today and I was having difficulty finding an item. I walked past six employees. None of them greeted me asked me if I was looking for some thing or offered any help. In one of the isles, there was a manager speaking with another employee that I walked by and nothing was said to me they were just stepped aside and didn't apologize for being in the way didn't ask if I was looking for anything just went on with their conversation.

Came in to change my sons diaper and I couldn’t bring his diaper bag in the bathroom with me so I had to carry him and all his stuff and left his bag out in the open where someone could have taken it!! Will never come back

I love Safeway, although their prices are higher than other local grocery stores. They are not overly crowded, very clean, and you have a variety of product selection.
