A few months ago we brought our dog because he was having gastric issues. We told them that he is allergic to chicken and mentioned it a few times. They tried to put him on a low fat diet, which had chicken in it. Im not sure if the doctor wasn't lis tening or that's their typical way of treating this type of issue. I mentioned that after he was given his monthly heart worm medication this is when his gastric issues started. But they definitely didn't bother to look at that. Gave us a whole bunch of other medication like anti nausea which the side effects is diarrhea. This place is not about taking care of your pets. Extremely petty company and was upset of a "Google review" made. I believe when a company is passionate about animals they will do what it takes to take care of them. I would think twice before bringing your pets to this place.

After two years of bringing my dogs to this place, I left a review regarding the poor service I got from one of their Veterinarians on how they kept insisting to give my dog prescription food, which included chicken, when I mentioned multiple times, my dogs has a chicken allergy. I also mentioned how it seemed they always prescribed the same antibiotics and a bunch of other useless/expensive medication, no matter what we brought them in for and would only see them for one issue at a time instead of trying to help my dog with all his issues at once. I tried giving this place one last chance, but they got butt hurt over the review I made and deleted our account. My dogs are my family and their health and safety are my top priority and it seems like this place is all about money and their feelings, so I'm glad they canceled our account, because I wouldn't want to put the care of my babies in their sensitive, money hungry little hands.

Looking for a clean clinic not only for my soon to be cat friend but also to find a part time job at in order to learn proper animal health care while I go to school. Even if they were hiring I wouldn't take the job, this place is not clean!

This was one of the worst experiences of my life. While they are adequate vets; they just don't get that veterinarian care involves understanding the deep emotional and therapeutic connection. I needed to have surgery in February; at a different clinic, and needed a place for Lola for a few days. I called the vet and explained my problem to whoever answered the phone and was told someone would be in touch. They didn't and I called back and finally connected to a vet tech. We met at a park near her home. The dogs got along and I think we actually shook on it. The next day I find out my surgery had to be rescheduled and called this person and left a message about the need to reschedule and left a text as well. I never heard back from her. When I sent a message it would be marked "read" but for about 10 days she never responded; not even a thumbs up. I grew more concerned with what was becoming cruel behavior and told her to forget it. I called the Vet the next day and while my number was blocked, I was able to leave a message which was returned immediately. I WAS INFORMED I WAS NO LONGER WELCOME THERE AS A PATIENT AND TO NEVER CONTACT THEM AGAIN. I am disabled and 69. Lola is more than a service dog as I am prone to seizures due to a stress related neurological injury which ended my career as a Commonwealth's Attorney for Pennsylvania. The cruelty from their total lack of professionalism is incomprehensible in a city that glorifies dogs over humans. They weren't even informed or knowledgeable of the Rover app which specifically houses buddies in homes. On top of my surgery and concerns with having to put Lola down when I never got a single response; I did not need their cruelty. At most, they're technicians but when it comes to the compassion and the socio-psychological aspects of what it means to be a true Physician, they failed miserably during an emergency. Find a place that cares

We took our eight-week-old puppy to this place. It was dirty and small. Dirt and grime on the walls and floor and brown stains on the examination towel. The staff was disorganized and never could get our pet's name right in their database. The vet or staff did not go over the vaccine shots beforehand, which led to misunderstandings. Also, the microchip (number) that this office provided us couldn't be found by the pet recovery service when we tried to register our puppy online. All-in-all, a bad experience.

Our first experience with ABAC was with our dog Sam, who had been having seizures. Dr. Hand was fabulous - he and the staff went out of their way to make sure Sam was comfortable during his visit, and Sam really liked him (a big plus because Sam did not care for strangers). Sam has since passed on, but they took such good care of our baby that we now take all our fur babies to ABAC. Thank you, Dr. Hand and wonderful staff!

Thank you to Austin Bluffs Animal Clinic and especially Dr. Benn! We had an urgent matter with our dog Roxy and they were able to get us in same day for an emergency visit. Dr.Benn was very gentle with our Roxy and made sure she was comfortable before examining her. We are truly thankful and thanks for taking good care of us. We decided to make the drive regularly to come see the doctors at Austin Bluffs Animal Clinic and make them our new Vet home

I love this clinic! Everyone there is super helpful, responsive, and very patient with my dog. I feel like they go above and beyond to answer my questions, give recommendations about my dog's care, and update me on when she's due for vaccinations, wellness exams, etc. I highly recommend this clinic; the receptionists, techs and vets are very friendly and knowledgeable (and my dog loves them, which is a plus).

I beyond furious at how I was treated on saturday. Dr.Dorsett and her staff are disrespectful and rude. I called in to vaccinate my ES animals for a new apartment. We vaccinated them for all but rabies outside the clinic, which we have NEVER had a problem doing while under Dr.Hand's care, as they simply just add it to their record. I explained that unless I could add those vaccines to my record, I didn't want to proceed with the appointment. After arriving, The rainbow hair p

I'm not one to leave reviews, but I have to share the awful experience I had with this vet clinic so you don't waste your time like I did. I just moved into the area and needed to find a regular vet, as I took my dog to the ER last week for an anal injection. I arrived early to my appointment and called ahead to see if I should wait, come inside, or if they're doing curbside, and was told to come in. I walk in and the man at the front desk didn't greet me or seem inviting, just stated my dogs name and told me to put her on the weight table. I have patiences, maybe he's having a bad day. He put me into a room and told me someone will be in soon. He didn't say how long, nor did I receive any paperwork to fill out as he told me over the phone I would need to. I wait ten minutes and a vet tech by the name of Tiana walks in. You guessed it, she didn't introduce herself, greet me, or have a friendly, warm demeanor. She asked what's wrong with my dog and why I'm here. a minute into the conversation she seemed uncertain. she then pulled out a note from within her pocket and asked me the following questions: does your pet have any allergies, take medications, and what food is your pet on? seriously? No, it wasn't her first day. These are easy simple questions and it's shocking with the amount of schooling and training she couldn't even ask something so standard. She finishes up her questions and says the doctor will be in shortly. As I wait another ten minutes in the room with my dog, I feel unwelcome, uneasy, and not trusting of this place. I take a look at my surroundings and noticed this office is extremely outdated with tan/ black tile and purple walls. Atmosphere is everything when it comes to your business. I was really trying to look past the unfriendly attitudes, lack of communication, and distasteful environment. While I'm waiting, I heard a dog weep and yell in the back vet coridoor for a solid minute (and I know this because I started recording) until he was attended and brought to another back room as a heard a door shut and his screams became muffled. The doctor comes in the to room. The pattern continues, she didn't introduce herself and she didn't greet me. She proceeded to ask me the same exact questions the vet tech asked, what kind of medications is your dog on? any kind of allergies? what food are you feeding her? so I stayed quiet and let the vet tech answer for me as I started to get really annoyed there isn't a system in place where we have to be redundant and repeat ourselves over and over. I explained my dog has an infected anal gland and was told to get establish by the ER with a local vet for a follow up. *****Here is the most disturbing and disgusting thing I've ever witness in a professional environment (and trust me, I'm in the medical field). The doctor examines my dogs anus with her *bare hands* as she pokes and squeezes her. At this point I am alarmed and uncomfortable so I asked "don't you want to use a glove?" a loud silence and a few seconds goes by before she responds with "oh, I washed by hands"... Really? like you didn't just touch the door handle to get into the room, touch the vet counter, open the treat jar, grab your pen and paper before putting the bacteria on your hand to my dogs INFECTED anus? NOT ONLY IS THAT GROSS AND UNSANITARY BUT NOT EVEN STANDARD MEDICAL PRACTICE. The doctor wanted to put my dog back on antibiotics, but changed her mind mid sentence and said because of my dogs past intestinal surgery, she doesn't want to "ruin" her gut health with medication. She told me what's best is to wait ANOTHER WEEK WITH THE INFECTION and put her on a probiotic. I was willing to listen and give her the benefit of the doubt since this isn't my profession. But what I was being told is what I already knew because by a quick google search of my dog symptoms I've already had her on a probiotic for days. Dr. Dorsett was her name. This clinic lacks

I checked around for a great vet. They are very good but not cheap. Some of their prices are good and some are twice of other vets in town. SO.. ask first for prices. We got prenatal x-rays and they were $200! I do like the staff, doctors and facility so we will return.

Austin Bluffs Animal Clinic is the most caring Clinic I’ve ever experienced. We take all of pups there, Jesse Hand works so well with all of our boys, even Pico (pictured) who is not very fond of people in general loves Jesse. Staff is easy to work with and friendly, they offer a military discount (check for details). If you need a Veterinarian that you can trust, feel comfortable with this is the place. Having them take care of our pups is a stress reliever because we know they are cared for, highly recommend. 5

I have sought services here for years and multiple pets and I used to recommend them highly.....however I took my cat to be neutered and they gave my cat a rabies shot when he was already up to date and tried to charge me for it...that was bad...but I called because my dog was lethargic and starting to jaundice. I was told she would be fine and to keep her comfortable until an appointment was available 2 days later, by the end of the day she had gone into full organ failure and had to be put to sleep....shame on you....so desperate for a dollar you couldn't refer us to the ER or somewhere else for the sake of my dog. I hope you feel the weight of the extra suffering she went through because I listened to you.

I was new to Colorado Springs and I needed a vet I could trust for care of my senior Dog Gena. I was advised that Austin Bluffs was a great place and that person was right. Dr. Benn was so great with my baby and making her feel better and improving her quality of life. Gena liked going to the vet to see her. I had to make the extremely difficult decision to put her down last week when her health rapidly deteriorated and Dr. Monyek brought me peace of mind in a very difficult time. The staff is friendly and caring and very easy to work with. I highly recommend!
