I just absolutely love this place. I live and work near downtown, I never stopped in for years because I always assumed it was just your average quick stop. Boy was I wrong this place has been my go to now for the last year. With tons of organic, natural, vegan/GF and locally sourced options to choose from I don't have a single reason to go anywhere but here. Not to mention the staff is always a pleasure to interact with. Every time I walk out of this place I feel refreshed. Which is something I can't say for your standard grocery store.

Top notch local grocer but also still has a ton of potential! Prices are still a bit high - I can understand for local goods, prepared foods, etc and I’m happy to support that - but for certain generic items that can also be found at any other grocery store in town, I don’t think the prices should be twice as much. Also I think they could really grow massively into the “ready-to-eat” space (like the highly successful Pret shops in London or other cities). They have ventured into this area already with high quality pre-made sandwiches, salads, breakfast burritos, drip coffee you pour yourself, etc. It’s similar to any grab ‘n’ go section you might find at a convenience store, but all locally made by nearby bakers or in the store itself and with quality ingredients (aka its real food). That’s my favorite part of this store - and with their limited supply and high prices, it’s hard to justify any kind of legitimate grocery shopping trip. But stopping in to grab a healthy lunch to go, or a drip coffee and pastry? It’s the perfect spot for that, and I really hope they lean into that even further.

For fantastic gourmet foods and all the pantry staples you can imagine, Bread and Butter is a great stop on your way to wherever you roam. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly and always has suggestions if you want them. Great selection beer, wine and spirits. You will always find delicious supplies here in a food desert. Thanks B&B!

Favorite neighborhood spot for groceries. SO much nicer than shopping corporate. Great selection of alcohol, local dairy and staples

Simply put this place is cool as hell. If you care about high quality ingredients and don’t mind paying for it, this is a great place to stop and shop around. Lots of fresh baked goods and a liquor store as well. Highly recommend.

Cute little grocery store that has the necessities and local produce you’ll need in a pinch if you don’t want to go to a big box store. It was right down the street from my hotel.

Came in to buy from sourdough, in a baguette! Went home to make some yummy French bread pizza and got some green chili Italian sausage. I made some biscuits and sausage gravy and sausage biscuit sandwiches. 10/10. Will be back, love Shawn of the Bread!!

Like a NYC neighborhood bodega with all the basics and friendly service. Lots of healthy options. Super convenient when traveling for work as it is a short walk from several downtown hotels.

What a welcome to Colorado Springs! We stopped in here before our airbnb to gather supplies. I'm so glad we chose here to stop. Eric and Karen were so kind & helpful, and there are so many local, healthy, and fresh options.

I love the convenience however, the prices are high. Nearly $1 or more for items you can find at King Soopers or Safeway and $2 or more compared to the commissary.I live close by so it is great if I need a handful of items, or if I find a great local product I wish to try.I wish the prices were more competitive with local grocery stores. I understand being downtown there will be a higher premium. I just feel like the prices are geared towards the individuals who can easily afford to shop there rather than being a grocery store for a neighborhood.Since they are the ONLY grocery in downtown they can set their prices for what works best for them, not the consumer.I get it. They're running a business. I'll still play my part and shop there for whatever is convenient or for a tasty pastry.P.s. (4/5) for the liquor and beer section. Needs more stouts or porters, and again their prices. Wine and liquor options are pretty good

I'm not normally the type to comment here. I don't give low scores easily. But this is the tenth case that has happened to me. Your vegetables and fruits come out rotten every time I buy them. It's not nice. Please check this. Moreover, I am experiencing this situation in the first days of the week. Also, your prices are much more expensive than usual. Despite this, please don't make us eat rotten products!!
