I found this gem unexpectedly while in a pickle. I had a previous booking ELSEWHERE that didn’t go right and I needed somewhere else to stay within THAT minute. To my surprise, Buffalo lodge was just around the corner and first thing I noticed was all the 5/5 reviews! I booked online and although it was very last minute they were able to accommodate my family and I right away! When I went into the lobby to check in, I was treated with EXCEPTIONAL customer service! She was so kind and welcoming and so very helpful with all and any needs. Once we walked into our room we were shocked at how new, modern, and clean the rooms were and very spacious! Everything we needed was there and it was so cozy and cute! In the morning we went into the lobby and enjoyed a complimentary breakfast and coffee while we sat by the fireplace and played a board game which they also provide! They also have bikes you can borrow and ride around! In the lobby aside the complimentary breakfast and drinks, you can purchase snacks, adult drinks, and other specialty coffee drinks. Also great location to all the popular attractions CO Springs has to offer! I can seriously keep going about how amazing our stay was. We fell in love with everything about it. We seriously didn’t want to leave! And We cannot wait to come back!

This place fills a niche that seems almost empty in colorado springs, nice and affordable.. most places fall into 1 of 2 categories, cheap and on the verge of being condemned or super nice $300 rooms. The Buffalo lodge is a happy middle and has an excellent location just a couple minutes below garden of the gods. But it that's not enough for you they have a taxidermy eagle in their lobby, bar, front desk area along with other animals including a bison. The rooms are pretty basic, nothing particularly special but they're clean and well maintained and the pillows are quite soft.

One of my favorite new spots... do not sleep on this GEM of a place!! Live music, daily bike rides/hikes, comfortable living and people who surrounded me were just some of the most loving and authentic people I've ever met.. Best hospitality I've experienced in a while! You cannot beat location either. Garden of the Gods has very interesting history looking at how & why it is so accessible to the public. You will feel a huge sense of community here.100%would book again

I stayed here with my husband and 3 young kids and we were very comfortable. The rooms are absolutely charming and the staff is super friendly. There was so much for the kids to do. The hotel let us borrow bikes for the kids to ride around on the property. There’s also Garden of the Gods right around the corner and Manitou Springs is close by too.

Staff was friendly. Tiny bathroom. No room in the bathroom for toiletries. You have to request a hairdryer, not in the room standardly! Towel rack falling out of the wall. Baseboards were filthy. We requested our room to be cleaned after 3 days and no one came, despite being told that was their policy, on the 3rd day they come and clean. I stayed 5 nights and not once did they come! I had to go to the office to get my own fresh linens. They told me to set out my garbage and they would pick it up. 24 hours later it was still there. I took it to the trash myself. Hot breakfast is only waffles. Don't expect meat or hot eggs. Only hard boiled eggs. I had a one bedroom unit and the wall unit in the kitchen did not heat the bedroom, so they had a portable heater to heat the room. It never regulated so i had to wake up all night long and turn it on and off as the thermostat on it didn't work. So I don't know how they got this high of reviews. I was very disappointed!

I stayed here to be in close proximity to Garden of the Gods and other hiking opportunities. My flight was late and therefore my arrival time was going to be after 8pm. They were very helpful with getting me set up despite my late arrival. My room was very clean. The bed was a 3/5 a little squishy for my taste. Nonetheless, it was a wonderful stay! It has a fridge and a microwave.I loved the atmosphere!Close to some wonderful attractions and sites. Great location!

I stayed here for a few days to enjoy Garden of the Gods with my cousin and saw the Mannitou Incline and knew I had to try it!I can't thank the owner enough for letting me borrow spikes because I didn't plan for ice on the trail since I'm from Texas and am used to 80 degree weather! Thanks to her I was able to complete the Incline and enjoy the beautiful views from the top of the summit. This place is amazing and independently owned so I really enjoyed my time at the lodge and will be returning again.Nearby activities: Garden of the GodsMannitou InclineSafety: Quiet neighborhood

My son and I went on a small getaway and the lodge was a perfect fit for us! The staff were super accommodating and friendly. We loved the free entertainment, waffles and selection of games in the dining area. And of course, the location, we got up in time to enjoy breakfast and drive five minutes to go on a much needed hike in Garden of the gods! It was the perfect addition to our much needed getaway!
