Got a call from Elijah. Very rude on the phone and hangs up on me. Sends me a vulgar text later that day. Can't make this up.

I found a car that I really liked, 2014 Chevy Equinox, on their web site. I called to get the vehicle transferred from the Parker CO store to the Colorado Springs store. They had me go through the "pre-qualifications" by running my credit and told me they would transfer the vehicle the next day for me to see and test drive. BUT FIRST, I had to confirm the transfer by email that they would send to me. I open the email and they are transferring the car to Denver CO instead of Colorado Springs. I call back and they apologize and 'fix' this error. I call a day and a half later and the car is in Colorado Springs, but is going through the 125 point check so its not ready. I would have thought that the check would have been done at the Parker store when they received the car. SO I wait for the call back. Five hours later I call them and they say the Title is not there so I can't test drive the car. Three hours goes by and I call them back. The first person I talk to (working remotely) takes all my info and then transfers me to another person (also working remotely), who takes all my info and then transfers me to another person(ALSO WORKING REMOTELY) takes all my info and then transfers me to a sales rep supposedly at the dealership. After about 15 minutes on hold, they come back and say I have no account, no application (which I did over the phone with the very first person, discussing my down payment, credit check and what the interest would be) so it's too late and they want to make an appointment later in the week. This runaround was as bad as calling a call center in India!!! They apologized but acted like I was an inconvenience for bothering them. I cancelled the entire deal after such incompetence left me not trusting them anymore. A co-worker also tried to buy a car there and after picking it up found out the oil was very low and NO WATER in the radiator. (125 point check, really). He gave it back and they refunded his down payment.

Nobody in their right mind would buy a used car anywhere other than CAR MAX. No hassle, streamlined purchase process. Highly professional staff from start to finish. Defy you to find any other alternative that will let you return your purchase with no hassle and no questions asked for 30 days. My second purchase through CarMaxReally made buying a car a fun and pleasant experience.

Originally a lot of Hassel to get a car I wanted. The first one on the lot ended up not working out we were heading to sign papers and buy it after looking at it a few days prior. When our salesman knew we were on our way about 5 minutes before we arrived he called to tell us it has hail damage from recent storm but not to worry big dents would be fixed. Small dents wouldn't and now it would have hail on its carfax. Frustrating because he couldnt tell us sooner. We ordered a second one from a different location took forever to get here then they couldn't find the title so couldn't sell it. Then they found it. Upon a test drive the check engine light came on. Nobody wanted to tell us after a week and a half of waiting. Then a manager told us. It had internal rat damage to the wires. They would fix it but not past the 3 month mark. After wasting 3 weeks on this car. We started over again. We found another one from a different location and had it sent- this one looked great couldn't find any big issues so ultimately this is the one we bought. A bit past the 3 month mark at an oil change they found a multitude of issues wrong with the car totalling thousands of dollars. Frantic and not in a spot to spend more money due to the recent purchase I contacted the co springs office. I worked with a manager and then another man. To my surprise given my above experience- they were AWESOME! they told me not to worry and we got the car in with their team. They then helped me line up getting the work done to the car at the dealership. The most amazing part - is THEY TOOK CARE OF THE WHOLE BILL!!! They really do stand by the concept of the car being ready to go off the lot. They took a very alarming situation and made it right. Overall my experience was washy but I do blame this on my salesman. I wish they let you choose who you want to work with not getting stuck with the next person in line for the sale. By the end of all my transactions with carmax I am happy relieved and thankful that they kept their end of the bargain. I'd do business with them again- but Ill pick my salesman!!! I do love my car and I love that it's safe again for my large family ! Thank you carmax for your loyalty to your customers!

We sold a Tesla Model 3 to Carmax. The appraisal was quick and the transaction to sell the car went well. The employees all did a great job and were friendly!

I was shocked how fast and easy the process was to sell my car! Carmax gave me an online offer and then they cut me a check for the exact amount when I went in for my appointment. No haggling or surprises. Would definitely use Carmax again in the future to buy/sell a car!

Ordered a Jeep that was located in another state. I tracked it on their online application till it got to Colorado Springs. Once it arrived, I was told that they needed to get a release on the title from the original state. It never happened and I never got a call again. I went to the car lot and they told me they would investigate the status. They never called again. I got tired of waiting and purchased a Jeep elsewhere. Do not order a vehicle from another state through CarMax, you'll never get it. At least, it was my experience.

I came in to see what they would offer to buy my vehicle. It was an easy process to check in and not too long to wait, considering I did not have an appointment. The offer was more than acceptable. After they got hold of my bank for the payoff amount, it was a few more minutes for the paperwork and to receive my check. Everyone I dealt with was very nice and helpful. Thank you

Came in to have a look at potential buys from the website. We were immediately confronted by a large screen (no salesman at all) showing a 3 hr wait before a salesperson would even be available. I interrupted a salesman on computer and he said they don't even have any "appointments" left for the day. Website doesn't even mention making an appointment until you dig deeper. [Review reaction- yes I too am sorry that I had a poor experience.]

Iv delt with carmax a few times in the past I recently went in for the 4th time looking to buy a jeep gladiator for myself. The night of my scheduled appointment I sat for an hour past my appointment time before someone had bothered to help me. I took the jeep for a short test drive and everything seemed to be ok. I had done financing online before I had shown up otherwise I don't think the deal would have happened that night. Ion my way home I had noticed a vibration at highway speeds and decided maybe it was the road let's give it a few days and see what it does. Eventually I called and tried to schedule a time to have them fix this vibration as it wasn't going away. They tried to send me somewhere else to have it looked at I decided not to and wanted them to do it. They scheduled a time and the next day on my way to work on i-25 the vibration started then I hit a bump and the whole jeep began to thrash around and threw me into the next lane. This is called death wobble an issue on most lifted jeeps when things are bad. This is a stock 2020 gladiator. With less than 40k miles that should not be happening. I took the jeep to car max that day and returned the jeep. This was unacceptable and dangerous Noone clearly did the job of inspecting or test driving this before it was sold to me. There was no conversations had about how to make it right and keep the jeep just straight return it and they asked if I wanted to look at anything else. I highly doubt anything else on the lot is in good shape now. They have lost my business and all my friends and family. Iv been telling anyone who will listen about this experience to make sure they don't go to carmax now

I’ve bought three cars at Carmax. Most recently I needed help from the service department and they were absolutely super. Nick and Samantha especially are so well suited in personality knowledge and awesome customer service attitudes. This company strives for excellence and integrity - best place to buy a car hands down ?
