This is such a blessing for our community. The volunteers are so caring and kind and work to make people's lives a little happier. The food is tasty and the donations are plentiful. It's a beautiful experience to volunteer here and give back.

I loved volunteering for the Marion house. What's a great place for resources with people who are in need who find themselves on the streets and also need a place to receive mail. Get healthcare legal services and receive mail as well as get a meal and some clothes. One of the best places i've ever volunteered for

If you're hungry, it's a great place to go and eat. And they have other services there too. Like the set clinic for medical services for the homeless.

If funding were better they would have more resources but because they have repeatedly had funding cut because society deems programs that assist homeless are a waste of time and resources there's less to help people get back on their feet and it is only going to get worse because those of us who are lower income are seen as garbage and Colorado needs to force us out instead of helping ensure there's resources to help here. I say send the California and Texas politicians and their cost of living back to their own states and return Colorado back to her citizens instead.

Loved it, the food was hot, flavorful, and plenty of it, on top of the great food, it was free.

I was homeless years ago in Colorado Springs, CO. The shelter I was at, kept saying that this place served meals. I was naive and went here, and it was like waiting at an amusement park to get on a ride, an hour or so wait to eat out of date food by a corrupt organization. It was right before the COVID-19 pandemic, and they didn't care if the homeless washed their hands, and so many people with dirt on their hands touched common surfaces. The volunteers and staff here didn't care, because this organization is corrupt and treats the homeless like animals. When I ate here several times, I had stomach aches and diarrhea. I remember asking one of the staff members for a transit bus ticket, and they refused, telling me to get on the waiting list, which was too long. Catholic Charities is a joke in Colorado Springs, CO. They only act like they care for the poor, because they want to be seen as 'good'. If anyone who's homeless is reading this, I do not recommend going here for anything. It's disgusting and should be closed down for good. Homeless people should be treated better and not treated as third world citizens. I would have rather fasted than eat here when I was homeless.*I read the response, and it doesn't repair the fact that I had stomach aches and diarrhea from the food I ate there. Your organization obviously defends itself very strongly. There is no way that all of the food there is fresh. The baked goods were all stale, no bakery is going to throw away fresh baked goods. The food had a really bad taste to it. This isn't the first organization that has to lie about the food it serves. Homeless people do not matter in Colorado or the state of Colorado. When I was homeless, I was treated like an animal, and honestly I never got any help in Colorado Springs, CO and being around filthy people because the soup kitchen refused to turn away filthy people, and shelters kept these people who declined personal hygiene as well, not helping anyone! My words weren't read by your organization, nor were they cared about. The only "good" done here is the idea of hope. I was fooled for 5 months being homeless in Colorado Springs, CO. There's nothing there. If anyone reading wants to get help, leave Colorado Springs, CO right now and get help elsewhere! This organization will do nothing for you, other than boast it's numbers to some data agency, since I heard that Colorado now has a homeless tracking system, where services are accessible by cards and every "service" offered, whether given a meal that some rich family didn't want to eat or checking in to the shelter, with the goal every single data point accounted for. Traceability. I actually recommend whoever is reading this, goes to another state to get help. My ancestors were wealthy individuals who once lived in Colorado Springs, CO and I am sure they'd be disgraced by what it has become! These organizations should help the homeless by getting them bus tickets to other areas, where resources are available and they aren't discriminated against, and Colorado Springs, CO city council should petition that it become an independently wealthy city that's fenced in, where it can keep wealthy people there with no "invasion" of poorer people, at the cost that it acquires all food, energy and resources from within it's fenced in area. There's absolutely no sustainability there whatsoever. Honestly, it's funny how I got a response from this organization, when I contacted Yale University about what's really going on with the homeless.
