Careful opening up an account here. They will sporatically flag transactions as fraudulent then turn your debit card off without prior knowlege or even legitimate reason to do so. Then you will have to spend time to contact them to reactivate your card. All this would just be a minor inconvenience if Stacie the branch manager, or Robin from customer service werent so diffucult and unpleasant to interact with. Just find a different bank.

Might be a 'great' bank and the staff was friendly, but I have never heard of charging $5 when you bring in a check from one of their customers to cash. You can't do this transaction from the drive through either because they need your thumbprint. A good outcome would have been to waive the $5 charge since I was not aware, but I will certainly file that away for the future. I could have avoided the charge by running it through my bank, but sometimes you want to keep business and personal banking separate which is why I opted to cash the check at a local branch.

I have banked with several banks in different states and there is NO bank that comes close to Great Western Bank off Academy Blvd. Shannon is branch manager, Sharon and Kimberly are employees all three of these ladies go over and above to help you. I would not change banks even if I was paid to . This is a bank with lots of style, class and professional services.

I called today to set up an appointment to discuss applying for a small business loan. The receptionist that answered was very friendly and went out of her way to help get me to the right person. Unfortunately, I did not get the right person. Dave Warner was cold, condescending, and without question was very put off that he had to talk to me. He shut me down saying I wouldn't qualify for the loan before ever knowing what I could bring to the table. Just because I do not have experience in the business that I want to start does not mean in the least I do not have the education, work experience, or the support network to make it work. What's more, I only needed the loan for construction. I have enough money to pay the monthly payment even if the business didn't produce income. That said, I'm also in a situation that there is no need to pay salaries in the first few years. A third party studied the business and projected $600+ k in revenue annually. With putting all the money back into the business, I'm certain that loan would be paid off in less than 5 years. After all, I hate debt. Anyway, very very disappointed in his professionalism and hope if any one else decides to work with Great Western, that they talk to someone else and hopefully have a much better experience.

Customer service still exist, this is the place for small business owners. Very friendly staff, everyone takes then time to get to know you and learn your name. They have a proactive approach to providing the customer with the products and services they need. I highly recommend going in and discovering what they can do for you.
