“Easiest process purchasing a firearm so far. Staff was very knowledgeable and no BS. Background checks are done on tablets with keyboards that are very clean and fast. The whole store is clean and a great place to spend time. Only downside is the selection: it is so good that you'll spend more $$$ than you wanted to. Was in and out within 30 minutes with the firearm I came in to buy.”

Not only does every employee at Springs Armory love talking about guns, they know their stuff. I had a bunch of questions even if I've been into guns for a long while and everyone was happy to help. Lastly, I think they have the best prices for defensive ammo I've seen in any physical store! “I've taken a few of my rifles to HTC for repairs and Rich has delivered above and beyond. Most recently, I bought a new barrel from HTC and had Rich chamber it in a wildcat round. Having experienced the transition from Whistling Pines to DCF, I can confidently say this range stands out among the rest. While pricing and changes in ownership have presented challenges, it’s the outstanding staff that keeps me coming back.
Mel deserves special recognition—she’s fantastic. We’ve had our moments, but she has consistently taken care of me and my company, whether it’s helping with orders or accommodating our scheduling needs. Nick and Devin are also great. Though I haven’t known them as long, they’ve been incredibly flexible and always make me feel like a priority. I also want to give a shout-out to Josh, whose gunsmithing skills have been a game-changer for the DCF team. In the past, this was an area that needed improvement, and Josh has definitely filled that gap.
While I occasionally visit other ranges, DCF East is by far the best. The staff are approachable, communicative, and handle themselves professionally, even when faced with difficult customers. My only concern is the functionality of all the shooting lanes—there are occasional issues, but given the heavy usage, I understand it’s not always easy to maintain everything perfectly.
