Gave one star because I can't give zero. I was told I could pay for the tax service with my refund and that was not true. Turns out my refund was out on hold because of this false information. Also she lost one of my w2s and had I not gone in to fix the problem, it would not have been filed at all. I have waited weeks then found out through checking my refund status that this had happened as hr block did nothing to contact me about this situation. No text no email nothing. COUNTING ON THIS COMPANY WAS A HUGE MISTAKE. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN DUE TO ALL THE LAWSUITS TO GO ANYWHERE BUT HR BLOCK.

Absolute scam and terrible follow up on issues. First mistake they made was the old woman who did my taxes qouted me the wrong cost by over $150. Second issue was that she input my name incorrectly into their database system. Third problem was when she told me stright to me face "Your refunds will arrive on your H&R Block Emerald Card within 21 days (mind you I went in-person and filed on the 24th of January), she failed to mention that the state return would not even be accepted and begin processing until the MIDDLE of February, I paid EXTRA to have the money put on their proprietary Emerald card through direct deposit. My federal return was direct deposited and they took at total of $254 out of my $600+/- federal return (scholarships and grants on my tuition wiped out what should have normally been a $3k return), and now Colorado state is showing to be sending a PAPER CHECK, within 10 'business days' putting it well past when my rent is due. I have called multiple times over the course of a week trying to figure out all these issues, and why Colorado is not direct depositing my money when I paid H&R Block specifically for this service. I have spoken to a detective withthe Colorado Springs Police Department and am about to file 'Financial Fruad' and 'Theft By Deception' Charges against this location because the 'manager' who is supposed to be 'reaching out to the state tax office' has not one time called and talked to me and addressed my concerns, leaving some poor secratery gal to defend her useless and irresponsible lack of effort to resolve my situation. I will be filing complaints with the state, the federal government, the IRS, and the better business bureau by weeks end if A: The entirety of the fees they've charged me for this piss poor service are not refunded in full, and B: the issue resolved with the state return. If I have to wait and end up late on my rent becuase of it, and they refuse to refund my $254, I will also be filing a small claims case to recoup my losses, and my time spent having to navigate this BS situation when I SHOULD have already had my refund and been on about my business. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE, THEY ARE CROOKS, AND LITERALLY USESESS IF THERE'S A PROBLEM. The main HRB customer support call-center reps told me to "Please remain calm, and call the state, because we are not responsible for this". I was literally as calm as could be when I called them, and the stupid fkwad told me to 'calm down'.

They judged me so very badly. They did not try to give me the most money this year. Had to amend my taxes they DID do because the old lady didn’t do it correctly!!! I wouldn’t come here they don’t care about you or your money! They’ll judge you by looking at you and decide if they’ll do it correctly by their judgment of you. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!! Don’t use these guys. You’ll regret it like I did.

My wife and I had our taxes done here today. We were set to go with Debby, but Sade ended up taking our appointment. She was extremely pleasant to work with. I’d say Debby was a little ignorant and was quick to exclaim and point the finger at a seemingly unprepared younger couple for not having a W2 present (1 of several due to moving states and shoddy HR communication post move). Of note, we’d used a feature on the H&R Block website recently which told us the missing W2 would be available at any location since my wife verified her SSN and EIN of that employer. It ended up just being a technical support matter, and my wife was able to locate her missing W2 anyways. Just the way Debby initiated conversation on it was to the tune of disbelief and kind of awkwardly accusatory, like that of someone with an out of touch view of most people in tax situations (stressed), while Sade immediately was willing to pick up the phone and try something helpful. I’d call it a tale of two personalities, but I’m glad we got it done with Sade and she gets all 5 of these stars.

Horrible service, I have been calling and leaving messages for 3 weeks trying to ask a simple question and no response, I have always used H&R block without issues until now Sade Murphy is the absolute last person you want doing your taxes

Avoid wasting your time and energy. My wife and I had to handle our State refund denial ourselves due to the mishandling by our tax “professional”, Celeste. We had to call daily for a span of two weeks to reach her before I finally had to take time from work to drive in. Once I arrived two other people were having the same problems, which continued to go ignored. They’re short staffed and managed to make the whole experience of filing taxes more stressful than it’d be doing it yourself.
