This is my go-to place for groceries. The prices are good, the Krogers ice cream is excellent and the people are really nice.

The staff here is petty and they make up dumb arbitrary rules. I went to this store to buy groceries with my husband. We are very clearly both in our 40s. While there we decided to buy a pack of beer to cook with. I was paying, showed my ID to the cashier while my husband was bagging the rest of my groceries. The cashier said all members of the party have to show ID to get beer. It was then that my husband realized he forgot his ID so she refused to sell beer to us, then while I was still in the store she walked around to all the other employees to point out my face to make sure no one would sell me alcohol since I was with another person who was clearly an adult that had forgotten their ID.

I live very close to a King Soopers store at the intersection of Fillmore Street and centennial boulevard, Colorado Springs. To show you how important customer service is, I drive away from the store in my neighborhood to go to a store on Baptist road, both stores are King Soopers, primarily for customer service. Not just because they are friendlier, but questions are asked with a better knowledge base, and when asked a question they don't know the answer to, the associates in the store will find the answer for me.That is lacking in the store close to my home.Thank you so so much!

Too crowded. The checkers are sometimes rude. If you ask for plastic bags they try to overload them. The fruit is sometimes not fresh.

Annoying political hacks always set up outside door with petitions and recalls. Store will put up signs apologizing and saying they weren’t authorized to be there then they let them back at the entrance. as if they don’t see them. Store is cramped and crowded and often out of items compared to other stores. On a positive side the employees are helpful and always nice.

Joshua in produce is THE BEST! He is always willing to go above and beyond to help customers, even going in the back to find items that may not be on the floor. And he always has a smile on his face.

Love King Soopers Monument! The ONLY thing I wish it had as a King Soopers Fuel Center. No point in collecting points when you can rarely use them on Fuel due to the lack of King Soopers Fuel Centers nearby.

Pick-up ordering is so convenient! I have arthritis and sometimes it's just hard to walk. The staff who bring out and load up the orders are so nice.

Shout out to Chris who was working self-checkout on 9/1. It was chaos since it was the Friday of Labor Day weekend AND a military discount day. He was zooming one direction or another putting out fires and juggling those self check out machines and their constant issues with a line of people going back in an aisle - all with a smile on his face and very pleasant demeanor. Not many could handle that under those conditions. Well done sir!

Anti theft carts out to get you for paying for your groceries. Then management wants to blame me for it along with corporate. Geeez so sad for a billion dollar company

Our hometown favorite, grocery store. Staff is always pleasant and selection is always good. When something is out all over Colorado Springs, I can always rely on this location to have what is missing in other stores.

If I could give this place zero stars I would, they are absolutely horrible to there employees they are treated like trash, I have had a family member work here and they said he is replaceable and nothing special, not to mention that they take the costumers side over there own employees when there is multiple witnesses asked. The upper management of this store is very corrupt and you can not trust them, they never keep any employee complaints private and they are always looking for a lower employee to blame for there mistakes, if you ask me they are untrustworthy and don’t take care of there employees like they should. So if you want a good environment for your work as well as a place that treats you like family then go somewhere else because if you work here you get thrown away like trash!

Please stop allowing the Gazette staff to harass your customers. Not only would it be nice for once to shop for what we want without being asked to sign, buy, or otherwise be annoyed with things we did not come to the store for, but most specifically, the Gazette staff is taking advantage of your customers. I accepted a free newspaper a few months back simply because I wanted paper for my fireplace. Got the complete guilt trip from the salesman so signed up for a 3-month trial to be a nice guy, fixed price, one payment, cancel before the recurring starts. Seems simple enough? No! when it comes time to cancel you have to run through the hoops to get it done. Then after confirming it was cancelled, with email confirmation to confirm the cancellation, a few days later I was sent a bill stating I owed for the previous months service. I had already paid for that month. I had to call and argue it out with their customer service. Had I not seen this email I can only imagine they would eventually try to send something like this to collections. They are approaching your customers in a dishonest fashion and no telling how many they send bills after cancellation who end up paying them when they should not. Please stop letting these deceptive practices in your store. I will remove this post if I see their podium over by the beverage area permanently removed. Otherwise, King Soopers letting them in is reflecting poorly upon their customers. Let us do our shopping in peace!

I’m giving this place one star because I can’t minus stars. Few days ago I was stopped by a manager name Kathleen asking me for my receipt. There were other customers walking in and out. The only difference I could see is I was black. Then she called over Joe another part of management. Who asked me the same thing. I refused to do so. This is not apart of their policy. I was told by corporate and the general manager. I was offered a $25 gift certificate for my troubles and “to make me feel better”, general manager. I refused.
