Rylan and the team did a great job making sure they properly assessed and left no stone unturned when evaluating my auto needs. It took some time to resolve them but I would rather thorough service than not so it was worth the wait. They offer reliable service with a great service oriented attitude. I will definitely return to Light House for my vehicle service and maintenance needs!

My 2002 Mazda had a problem with the air bag light blinking constantly. I had taken her to two shops before I took to Lighthouse. Neither of the two shops could get a diagnostic read and the second shop was an overall bad experience with a rude and childish service guy. I was going to just leave it as is but felt unsafe driving. I found Lighthouse Automotive on Google and called to ask if they might be able to help. I spoke with Kevin who was very nice over the phone and he took some time to try and understand what might be going on and he also had an idea about what the code meant that the light was flashing. When I brought my car in I was greeted by Rylan who was very polite and engaging. Their machine was unable to get a reading as well, but Kevin decided to check some wiring under the seat and he found some issue with that so he worked on the wiring and drove around for several miles to make sure that was the fix. So far, so good...no more blinking light and I feel safer driving now. I am very happy with these guys and I will be bringing my business to them in the future. I've owned my car since she was brand new and hope to keep her going another 115k miles. Thanks guys, and to everyone reading, I highly recommend Lighthouse Automotive.

Clutch went out on my 2005 Honda element. As a former technician I knew it was a big job because the subframe had to be removed. I just wasn't in a place to be able to complete the repair myself. Rylan and his crew took great care of me and were upfront and honest about price and had the job done in 2 days! Of course it wasn't cheap but the quality of work was solid and they have a 3 year 36k mile warranty. Highly recommend!

While I was away on an out-of-state working trip my fiancee took our daughter's Jeep wrangler in because she "lost braking" in it. Turns out it was a simple front brake line rupture. He told my fiancee that Jeeps always brake harder with the front brakes than the rear brakes (?). To change all four they said it would cost "less than $1700." When I called him he said they inflate the verbal quote so the actual cost is less in the end. (?) The cost for a simple front brake line replacement came out to ~$1,000.To determine the front brake line was ruptured = $148.57 (diagnose)Brake fluid flush labor = $153.87 (+ brake fluid $19.80)Front brake line replacement labor = $267.43He said they used "high performance" brake lines at $136.99 each x2 = $274[A single brake line at Napa is around $60 (x2 = $120)]Replacement brake fluid = $29.99Do with this what you will... I know in the future I will be either doing my own work, finding a home mechanic or a more reasonable shop (my personal opinion).

just go elsewhere. I must have been reading about a different lighthouse automotive, dropped off truck for a transmission and a fair deal of other work. more work the. the average working man cares to do in freetime. everything seemed on the up and up, was told give them a day or two for a thorough diagnosis. 7 days later I called them to see, was quoted and agreed to the work, paid half the balance up front. was told the work would start in 5-7 days once trans came in, seemed fair. didn't hear from them again unless I called. called every friday for 3 weeks, first week rylan answered, I asked how he was doing he replied, "busy". Said they still hadnt gotten started cuz his lead tech is on vacation. a week later, he is on vacation and the lead tech gives me a sob story about how busy he is. 3rd week was some poor kid who said he just got back from a camping trip and didnt know whats going on. I reminded him it was 430 in the afternoon and thats not good business. He replied he knows. Another week later rylan calls and begins to apologize, he said he was hopeful i could understand how busy they were and understaffed they are. I blew up told him all ive heard is excuses and never once got any feedback on how the work was going, he said " most people bring easier problems" I told him he shouldn't be in his business if all he wants is easy jobs. He compared the work taking so long being similar to me on deployment having family wondering why its taking so long. That really set me off, needless to say he said he would have it done a week from then, on a friday he guaranteed it, got a call at 930pm saying "i told you it would be done" went in Monday morning he agreed to credit the bill 10%. after looking the bill over it was credited 200$ which is roughly 2%, i just wanted to leave. Get in the truck, the thing is barely put back together, fuse box opened, turn signal disconnected and hangin, get home, the lights dont turn off. All of this after he swore the bulk of the delay was around electrical issues, chasing wires and fixing problems, even said he had to hire an outside team for the alternator. guaranteed no codes. Ive had it 3 days, several codes, and have to pull the fuse for the lights to go off, advance pulled the codes, battery is bad alternator bad, this shop is a train wreck. Im sure there are some great mechanics but this dude has no business running a shop.

I am the maintenance manager of a healthcare facility and the axle carrier split open on one of our handicap transportation vans. I ask around to a few people who they would recommend I take out work vans to. They all said Lighthouse, and let me tell you what, they did an amazing job for us. (Advanced Healthcare of Colorado Springs) They were up front about time and cost and have a great team of talented mechanics that were able to beef up the axle carrier with some superb metal work and welding and still had it to us two days after we dropped it off. Needless to say with our issues with Auto Nation buying out the Dodge dealer on Woodman, I am very happy that we found a new shop that can take care of our needs.Thank you to your team for excellent work and communication.

I will never use this shop! I called and explained the problem with my transmission, that the shift was hard, they said to bring it in, as we were dropping the car off, I went in to the office where I met the owner and was told that they don't work on transmissions, I spent $200 for a tow for nothing when they could have said something on the phone.

I have been going, to them for many years. I will not go anywhere else, the owner is honest, and tells it to straight. He really goes above and beyond.

Very happy with Ryan and his team at Lighthouse. Came in with a pesky oil leak situation that had been plaguing me for a while. Not only did they do a thorough evaluation to find the issue, they quoted me the cost up front with all the details of their approach. This kind of transparency and openness just isn't what you come across at many shops.Took care of my problem, as well as some other maintenance to my Volvo XC90, and two weeks later I'm still running in great shape. Thanks Lighthouse!

They have great coupons on their Facebook page! I have had a fantastic experience here. They don't overcharge or try to add-on additional things that you don't need. They are kind, helpful, and honest. The 1st really good experience that I have had trying to get an oil change since I got my new Subaru that takes a certain type of synthetic oil. Thanks!Service: Oil change

Kevin and the guys I met here were impressive people and it was a pleasure doing no-nonsense business. They were able to work on my 2011 BMW for an affordable price (spark plugs, transmission service, front suspension). I'm grateful I found this business, I would definitely recommend Lighthouse Automotive and will think of them first next time I need mechanical help.Services: Transmission

EDIT: I was able to have a discussion with the owner regarding the issues I previously stated in the review. We were able to come to an agreement and we both have a sense of resolution. All my cars will be coming here in the future because of the customer care. A rare sense of trust has been established with a mechanic.Old review:(I think these mechanics can be great for certain needs. Unfortunately, I went to them for the wrong need. I was hoping to do an engine rebuild on my car of which someone on the phone said they were capable of doing. Great. I got my car towed in and upon arrival, someone else stated they don't do engine rebuilds there and it would need replaced. I asked them not to look into my car too much, and only provide a quote for the engine. They went ahead and diagnosed my car anyway, charged me, and provided an engine replacement cost that was over 2 grand more than competing shops. When leaving, I was talking to one of the main mechanics (of which was very nice) and discussed options for my car.I said that I was probably going to scrap it/sell. He offered me $200 on the spot. I knew this wasn't a good deal and was honestly a little offended. I ended up selling for 20x what he offered (to another mechanic). This all being said, I would probably take my car here for certain things. They seem as if they do good work on the cars they have and I've gotten good referrals from other people. Just beware they might hustle you into things not necessarily needed.)
