please make it policy that surgery isn’t performed on Fridays. Please. If you aren’t able to take appointments for complications after surgery. Don’t perform surgeries on Fridays and leave patients and their families with emergency clinics to fix the issues caused by the original procedure.

I have taken my dog here since he was around 10 weeks old! The receptionists, vet techs, and doctors have all exceeded all expectations. Natalie, Constance, and Jessie all know my dog Bruno by name and they are incredibly friendly over the phone and in person. I haven't been able to catch a ton of the techs names, but Gentry is always great! Dr. McElroy has been Bruno's doctor from day one and she is the absolute best! She is so knowledgeable and thorough during our visits. My dog LOVES her! She takes the time to get to know you and your pets as well as really explaining the different treatment options. I trust her opinion 100% when it comes to taking care of my dog. I highly recommend her, Dr. Markel, and any of the other care providers here!

I really enjoyed using this vet the past couple of years and the staff is friendly and informative. Today I brought my dog in with symptoms of Gastroenteritis (Vomiting and diarrhea) took some x-rays and they couldn't tell if the dog had a linear foreign body (a object he ate) stuck in his stomach. Their first recommendation was surgery and not antibiotics and medication, I know this is a tough decision for vets to make because some objects don't show up on x-rays that can block a dogs stomach. I took my vets recommendation and did the surgery which resulted in a 1850$ bill and my dog being in serious pain and need of a lot care for weeks. The surgery showed no blockage or foreign bodies in him so I put my dog through a intrusive painful surgery that could of been solved with Antibiotics for 200$. I'm not happy that surgery was the first recommendation being so intrusive and expensive when their was no clear signs it was an absolute necessity. Less intrusive methods of treating a dogs symptoms should be exhausted first, before performing a painful surgery that they are uncertain about

Love this Dr for my dog. They're very good with her and she doesn't like anyone. Reasonable, friendly, caring and thorough. Can't really ask for much more than that.

I had an utterly infuriating experience with North Powers Animal Hospital. Despite my initial outreach on August 1st and a voicemail, they completely ignored me. Out of the blue on December 11, they called, accusing me of neglecting to schedule my pet's appointment. Today, on the scheduled date of December 15, they casually informed me just 5 minutes before my appointment that I'd have to wait indefinitely or reschedule. Their communication is shockingly abysmal, ranging from unanswered calls to neglected online inquiries. I am thoroughly appalled by their consistently horrendous service. DO NOT bring your pet here if you are looking for a good experience.

My pet rat, Marshmallow, had pneumonia so bad that she was near death. One appointment with Dr. Markel and three days later she was feeling ready to party. Also Marshmallow loves everyone there so much that she just acts right at home, not even a hint of fear. Love this place and thank you doesn't quite cover my level of gratitude. Also, they are very reasonably priced, even for an ER. I've actually worked in an animal ER and you can tell everyone cares and does their job top notch here, super clean.

I had two senior pups, Portuguese water dog and Great Dane, who needed surgery and cancer care. Surgeries went extremely well, dental and anal glands removal and the cancer care was extremely informative and realistic. I highly recommend the wellness plans as pets will require health care treatment. They do take your pets into the back for exams which was never an issue. Cancer care (TCC) was addressed with multiple options and what best courses of action moving forward might be with things to look out for. Alternative options were given and why they potentially were not a first option. When end of life treatment came for my Great Dane (12 years old), they were extremely caring and helpful in an extremely difficult time. They are health care providers who are providing optimal healthcare for your pet.
