The ladies at the Citadel mall were so helpful. Answered all our questions and informed us of all the needed information on the breeders and care our puppy has received. We took one look at him and said yes! I loved how they gave us all the essentials to start out with a new puppy. Thank you again! Great experience. I could tell the staff loved the animals.

Pet City@ Chapel Hill mallripped me off! I bought a chihuahua from your shop in July 2022.. Now 2yrs later my puppy has conjunctivitis (with is genetic) , and still has a problem being potty trained (she wears a diaper at all times. My vet say she's a puppy mill dog! They told me to put down a $500 deposit, then signed me up for a loan with really high interest, and when I start to pay off my puppy ($5000) they informed me that the $500 deposit does not apply to my loan at all. Pet City should be ashamed!!!

Nice little shop overall. The wife and I have been there a few times before or after watching a movie, the dogs look great. They receive dogs from registered kennel, so you can be sure they are of quality. The prices are high, worth what you get, but a lot that you'd not necessarily care about. You get the dog, and a lot of adds on including lifetime specialist help for behavior and training. That's great if you're planning on using one, if not, take into consideration that's it's not free, it's included in the price. Most dogs I've like are around $4,000 which is 4 time the price of similar dogs, OR the price of puppies coming from competition winners, and usually first three picks. So take that into consideration.I might update back to 5 stars, but our last visit was not so great. We usually just went say hi to puppy and if we had time played with one or two, but last time we got kind of pressured to leave with one. I'm french, and do not necessarily appreciate forced sales, we usually ask a person if we are interested, so this experience was not as much enjoyable as usual.I understand that the shop must make money, but it does not feel right to push people to go home with an animal, getting in debt for it (Pushing financial help a lot) with little to no consideration to where the dog belongs or what a future owner need, also made me feel like those puppies did not matter.I was looking for a Cane Corso to work ad Guard dog, and was pushed into buying a Husky, let's say both the dog and I would have been miserable. So hopefully that was only a one time thing, and if so I'll be happy to bring that rating up, if not, then I think we will stop visiting this place.

We were fortunate to speak with Jami & confirm a breed we found online. While the pup wasn’t as pictured (unable to for legal reasons), she gave us plenty of information to make the trip down. We were then connected with Linda, who setup a room for us to play with the sweet pup. She answered all of our questions and was incredible helpful throughout the process. You can tell they care about the pets there and are well informed. We were very pleased. We took the dog home that day and are so happy with our sweet little girl. Harper (what we named her) is so loving and endearing. Would highly recommend the location, especially Linda & Jami. Thank you both so very much for your help!

So we decided to visit Pet City on whim because we were on the lookout for a pet bunny. I am so happy that we did because we ended up finding our kiddo's best friend here. They had mini lops for sale and Kate was the one who helped us in our search for one. We finally decided to meet the first and went with the first one we met. Kate helped us the entire step of the way and was teaching us on how to bond, feed, pet our newest addition. Loved visiting here and definitely recommend Kate if she's ever around to help out.

DO NOT BUY A DOG FROM THIS PLACE. We purchased a gorgeous French mastiff puppy and we were told she had a clean bill of health, and that she had a surgery on her nasal passages to promote the ease of breathing. As such, we asked for paperwork from the surgery to see that it had been done, and where it had been done just in case there were any issues. We were told that that is something they would look into, but here we are months later, and we still have not seen any of that paperwork. Nonetheless, we were instructed to ensure that she visits a veterinarian of their choosing, which was the VCA off of North Academy, to ensure that she is healthy. They told us that everything is good, and that we have a healthy little girl and they took a fecal sample to make sure she doesn't have any parasites. At this point, we thought everything was totally fine! But, a couple of days later, we noticed that she was urinating quite frequently, so we thought that she had a UTI. So, we took her to the vet, and we paid for the vet visit ourselves, as well as the medication to try and remedy this issue. Shortly after this, her fecal sample came back and we were informed that she had Giardia and a couple of other parasites that were found in her sample. We were told that the pet store would cover the cost of the antibiotics as well as the doctor visit, but that they would not cover the cost of the fecal sample, which is $180. So we paid out of pocket, and contacted the pet store and got in contact with a woman named Debbie. Debbie asked for information about the dogs records and about how much money we have paid, and she told us that they would not be covering anything related to the UTI, even though we did our research, and spoke to the doctors, and found out that a UTI can be caused by Giardia because of the proximity of dogs genitals and urinary flow and that, unfortunately, is something they told us they still would not cover because they had "never seen that happen before". Even though, it was THEIR vet that told us that it's possible! Long story short, the first round of antibiotics did not work, so we ended up back at the doctor, and had to do another test. Thankfully, they paid for the test for the Giardia, and they paid for the medication, but they told us they would not pay for the test for the UTI again, because that test had nothing to do with the Giardia according to them, even though their vet said that it did. They also told us that they would not pay for the cost of the visit itself, and that that would be out of pocket. Because the vet could tell that they were trying to do us dirty, the vet ended up telling us that they would cover the cost of the test for the UTI, the medication for the UTI, and the cost of the veterinary visit to evaluate the UTI because they knew that it was wrong. Since then, we have her on the recommended medication that they gave us for the Giardia, as well as the medication, that the vet covered for the UTI. Unfortunately, as of yesterday, the UTI symptoms have returned, and they are still not taking any ownership of the fact that they gave us a puppy that was sick with Giardia and a UTI as a result. After I spoke with Debbie several times, she mentioned to me that she would speak to their higher-ups about things, and I mentioned the idea of our other elderly dogs getting Giardia because it is very contagious. She indicated that they would not cover it even though the only reason why they would've gotten sick is because they gave us a sick puppy. This company tries their hardest to get out of paying for literally anything, even if it is their fault. She told us that the reason why our puppy got Giardia is because it was bred in a place that allows large running areas instead of cages, and that sometimes can be the breeding grounds for giardia, but at what point were they going to test to make sure that she didn't have it before sending her home with us and before accepting the $8000 that we paid? Exactly, they weren't. It's all about money with them, and they wi

I got a puppy from here three years ago. I really didn't want to buy a puppy from a store but my boyfriend at the time refused to go anywhere else. We got a mini Aussie who I wouldn't trade for the world. However, I would not shop here ever again. I was worried they were puppy mill dogs so I asked one of the workers where they came from. She said out of state breeders. Colorado has really strict breeding laws to prevent puppy mills so this was a red flag for me. The dogs are also way too young to be taken from their mom. My dog also had issues with guarding his food and treats aggressively when I first got him, so I'm worried food was a scarcity for him before I got him. The dogs are obviously overpriced, and the sales team makes commissions off these dogs so they don't care about the homes these animals are going into. Unlike most rescues who do a home check before you can adopt. These dogs also hardly get outside time and are just stuck in these kennels all day. The staff is super weird and although most of them seemed to like dogs, they didn't have a whole lot of knowledge on properly handling them.

if you want to overpay thousands of dollars for a puppy mill dog, born from parents in the most inhumane conditions, this place is for you! i was appalled when i walked into this place. some dogs costing more than $5,000. while puppies are cute, the prices are absolutely insane. for that price, you can get a puppy from a champaign blood line, meet the parents, understand their lineage, from a reputable breeder, etc. instead you are supporting the puppy mills throughout the country. dont know what a puppy mill is? google - puppy mill and hit images. so sickening and sad. we left this place upset. went over to pike peak humane society and found our perfect dog, while saving a life and not contributing to such a inhumane and horrible business. pet stores like these should be banned in colorado springs like other cities in our state and states/cities around the us.
