November 2023 by No Name
We went in having had bad experiences at previous dealerships and were sceptical... Joe and his team went out of there way to help me find the perfect vehicle. This was easily the best vehicle buying process I've had. They not only made it easy but fun. They actually care about making sure you get the best deal and actually care about you! Thank you so much for making this experience fun and easy. I will absolutely be buying from Joe and his team at Valucar in the future!

I also wish i could leave a 0 star or -star review, its warranted with this dealership. We contacted the lot and dealt with Joe(manager) about a blue 2005 Corvette, was kind of a dream car come true. We agreed on an all cash price, bought plane tickets(Thursday)and flew out from Missouri. Got there(Friday) and talked to Joe, gave them the money and signed the paperwork. Only to find out a couple hours later the car had transmission issues but was assured it'd be fixed with all OEM parts. Shouldn't have been to hard since there is a Chevrolet dealership down the road. Saturday went back to the lot to find out many dropped the ball and vehicle still wasn't fixed. Joe stated they would work overnight to have the car fixed and shipped(Monday) on their dime. First transport company had a flat tire so things got postponed. Found another company and was supposed to pick it up(Wednesday)and have it to us. A day went by with no contact from anyone so we reached out, all Joe had was, "I don't know his schedule, he had other deliveries", which I could some what understand. Was reached out to a day later to be told it would be here first thing friday morning(06:30am) which turned out to be 10:30pm. Transport company had reached out prior to delivery and stated the car was still in Kansas City and wouldn't start and needed a new remote battery, so I went and bought a new battery for the remote. Driver gets to my house and replaces battery and car still doesn't start. We get ahold of someone from the lot who stated he was head over transportation who basically asks us what we want done, asks me to go out and help driver look at the car and diagnose it........?????? and then asks us to let the driver sleep in the backyard till the morning......driver was already asleep so unnamed transport expert makes us bang on the window to wake this guy up by saying, "well I guess you better wake him up if you don't want him there", so we can sleep without unknown man in our backyard, when the car is going to be looked at by our Chevrolet dealership down here in Missouri. Also asks us to sign for the car multiple times, pretty much harassing us to sign for a non running vehicle. The driver who finally deliveries the car to the Chevrolet dealership takes both remote batteries with him(old, still worked and new) leaving this dealership to install yet a third battery. The ChevroletDealership finds out for us the cars transmission was indeed not fixed and there was a tick involving the lifters. We talked to Colten who is above Joe, who stated they would fix the car and make all this right. Waited an additional week with the car sitting at the Chevrolet dealership(going on 2 weeks now) and got a call from Joe saying that they will be coming and getting the car, giving us the money back. So the dealership does not stand behind, "We will make this right." They came and took back the car without informing us of when they exactly planned on doing this and giving our money back first, initially stealing the car from us. Horrible lot, horrible experience, horrible customer relations. If you want to be disappointed from start to finish every step of the way, ValuCar's for you!! As of today still waiting for our money or the car they stole to be fixed the way they said it would!!! All I wanted is what this dealership promised, if you can't get it in writing please walk, it will save you a ton of headache and heartache!!

This was by far the best experience I have had with a car purchase. Devin anderson was my sales men and he is a great guy, he had a non pressure tactic and I would refer him to anyone who doesn't wanna feel pressured. P.S. if you keep this man happy working there he will sell alot of vehicles for you!

Salesman was incredible. Thank you Andrew. However the finance team will get your hopes up and then tell you that there is nothing they can do to help you due to financial situation. Going here was a complete waste of time for me as they said they could help me and then come the day of signing paperwork, sorry but we can't get it approved. Should have seen that in the beginning.

I wish I could give Phil Long ValuCar of Motor City a 0-star review! Think everything bad you know about used car salespeople, and make it worse. We were interested in a specific used car they had on their lot. We made an appointment the night before with one of their salesmen, we told them we were very interested. The next day, we drove 1 1/2 hours to the lot, and showed up to our appointment early! When we arrived, we saw the car we wanted to buy parked in the lot. When we went in to the lobby, the place was loud and kinda smelly with a bunch of cheap plastic tables and chairs. We were told that the salesman we had an appointment with wasn't available to meet with us AND that the car we had come all this way was being literally sold out from underneath us as we spoke. Then a different salesperson offered to show us other cars on their lot. What a scam! While we were expressing our extreme displeasure, another couple came in who just had the exact same experience: they made an appointment to look at a car and it was sold "just before they got there". This place doesn't value customer service one bit! You're just another sucker/mark to them!Avoid Phil Long ValuCar like the plague![Added after "response from the owner"] In *any* other business, when a customer makes an appointment to meet with a salesperson to buy something that costs more than $15,000, the salesperson would actually clear their schedule to make sure they would make the appointment. They would make certain the thing for sale was still available at the appointed time. That's basic customer service and deceny. Phil Long ValuCar of Motor City doesn't give $0.02 about you, your time, decency, or customer service. It's all about volume for them. What the hell is the point of making an appointment if they won't honor it?Phil Long ValuCar

Best buying experience I could ever imagine! I was hesitant at first but the manager Joe took really good care of me as well as everyone else who I interacted with. Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re looking for your next vehicle.

We visited around 10 dealerships between Denver and Colorado Springs. Feeling defeated, we walked into Phil Long Hyundai in Motor City and Charles Battaglia was more helpful than anyone at the other dealerships we had been to. He listened to what we wanted/needed and what was in our price range and didn't try to sell us on something out of our range. He was extremely helpful and friendly and we finally found a vehicle! I highly recommend this dealership.

If a customer says “no I’m good”, don’t proceed to do what you intended. It’s so rude and inconsiderate of my time. Looked at and test drove a vehicle that had bad brakes, rust on the hood, a side swipe scratch that wasn’t on the car fax, cracked windshield and they weren’t going to budge on price. Then, you tell me you can’t sell me a vehicle with safety concerns as it’s illegal but you let me test drive it without it having an inspection done…new girl needs some more training. Why do you have cars on the lot that aren’t ready to be sold? Not good business.

Worst car buying experience of my life. Made an appointment to test drive a truck and told them I lived an hour away. They assured me the vehicle would be there. When I got there they told me the gm sold it to his son. They didn't find it necessary to call me and tell me before I made the drive. They then showed me a truck much more expensive than the original and wouldnt budge a dollar on price. They told me they had the cheapest price within 200 miles. I went 30 minutes down the road and found the exact same truck with fewer miles for 10 thousand cheaper. I've bought 2 vehicles from them in the past and will not be returning again.

SCAMMERS!!!!! I Bought a 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLA250 (and wrote a fat down payment check )to these scammers. After the fact I went through all the paperwork, the finance manager told me they lost the second key and I could easily call this number and they would send me another key. right when I drove off the lot, the driver window would not roll back up. They would not get me in for another two weeks they said to fix it, and it would be out of my pocket. The leather has been damaged because of the snow and rain.Thankfully, randomly the window rolled back up after about a month. Now I need a second key, but I lost my files for the car, when I call the dealership they act like they can’t help me and they don’t know what to do. The “manager” will never return my calls now. What kind of unprofessional dealership is this? Will never buy from any LONG dealership again and neither should you.

This dealership is the definition of shady. A salesman with them- Tyler called me wanting to purchase my vehicle on Autotrader. He said he was a private party buyer financing through Phil Long which didn’t make much sense. He then gave me a firm offer to lure me down to Colorado Springs over an hour away and had no intention of paying that amount. Do not do business with this dealer. Their salesman will lie right to your face.

Eddie is great, management sucks! Bought this car got 10 miles down the road engine light come on. Brought it back right away. They said cat needs replaced and they would fix it. 10 days later they call and say they have the part. Drop it off they call several days later and say hey it needs a new engine. 2 months later they say it's ready for pickup. The photos are of the car when I went to pick it up. Wheel wells were in the back and there was oil in the coolant. Any help from management? Nope. They wanted me to trade in this car I had for 10 days at half the original loan amount and put me in a car where the payment was doubled. That was management's solution. I bought a warranty with the car. What does the warranty say. Well they said NO WAY. So for now the car is going back to the shop again. Worst experience ever. Buyer beware!

Communication between sales and finance may be an issue. Make sure that you clearly communicate any extra services to sales AND finance. Purchased a vehicle within the past 6 months.. I told sales that I wanted to opt out of any extended warranty or options, but finance threw them back on in a subtle, not-so-clear manner which had me confused. Took it as a lesson learned to take more time when going through finance. Interest rates are high and sales are down, so it might be a good idea to have someone else with you for these large purchases.

my car broke down in October. We went to valuecar because after calling around they were the only dealership that gave us hope. Matt was our salesman he sat with us for quite a while making sure he understood exactly what we needed and exactly what we had to work with. To make a long story much shorter.. Matt got me into a car that night. I've had two granddaughters buy cars since. When my family needs a car - Phil Long Value car has our business! Thanks Matt!

I was interested in a car I liked but they told me it was in the shop.. tried selling me a newer car but with damage according to the carfax.. so I asked one more time when will the other car be ready for me to see.. they told me it was having problems. I could clearly see the car in the lot in the exact spot they took the picture on their website. So I left. Next day passing by their dealership, the car I was interested was literally driving right in front of me on a test drive. Lol. Dont trust this place.
