Prospect Lake Beach is a fun little place and a beautiful gathering place for family picnics. It is a little oasis in the city where individuals, families, and groups can enjoy the beach, open water swim area, and historic beach house. People go swimming, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, bike riding, jogging, or just sitting and soaking in the sun and fresh air. There are picnic tables, volleyball, concessions, a snack bar, and locker rooms. A couple of playgrounds and a wheelchair accessible path to the beach are available for kids and accessibility. It is a nice place to come for a walk or to see special events like the amazing annual hot air balloon show.
