The best kept bike/ski/run/outdoor shop secret in town. This place is tucked away in the shopping center on the North/West corner of 31st \\u0026 Colorado. Easy to miss if you don’t know where it is. But goodness, is it worth the hunt. Mountain bike shop with boutique brands for sale and demo/rental. Ski and snowboard shop. Running and hiking gear. Outdoor clothing. And a staff that knows the area and will point you in the right direction for your next adventure. No need to visit REI, Scheels or some other big box store. This shop is locally owned. Buy year gear where you’ll get it serviced and support a local shop at the same time. And check out the sale rack. Lots of bargains on last seasons gear.

Sometimes it's hard to choose a bike shop when you have so many options. Not only did Routes have exactly what I needed for getting my bike set up (at the trailhead), but I found a pair of Lems trail running shoes that I couldn't get anywhere else.Very impressed with this shop and will be going back more. When you're this good, supporting a local business becomes easy! Well done. Great products and staff.

The absolute best place in the springs to rent a bike! Nick at the shop was very helpful getting me set up with a gravel bike for my work trip to Colorado Springs. He gave me tips on where to ride and what kind of gear to bring. He was very communicative and accommodating in answering my questions and getting the bike set up the exact way I wanted it. If I’m ever back in town I will definitely be coming here to rent another bike. If you’re going to be in the area and are looking for some good gravel routes I recommend checking out Gold Camp loop and Rampart Ridge.

Routes Outfitter is the best when it comes to outdoor gear in town! It's run by really great people that will give you the best service. I've had skis waxed here. They did a really great job in a timely fashion at a fair price.

We are visiting from Georgia and called several bike “rental” shops and no one had bikes available except for Routes Outfitter. Nick was able to accommodate us and was super knowledgeable. Unfortunately my husband became sick and we had to cancel and Nick was very understanding. We will be back to visit next year and will definitely rent bikes from Routes Outfitter.

Rented two bikes from here to try mountain bike riding at red rock canyon open space. The pricing was fair and they did military discount. The staff is really nice and patient, especially since I’ve never done mountain bike riding. We were able to test out two brand new bikes for them, so it was fun breaking them in while biking. It gave me an excuse to brake and slow down :).I would rent again because of the customer service and would recommend them if you’re looking for a bike rental place or somewhere to get your bike maintenance.

Great experience. Rented 2 MTBs to ride locally. The guy in the shop (Nick?) was super helpful, the bikes were in great shape and had top end builds and the trails were massive fun.Protip - ask if they can suggest a shuttle.

This shop is great. I've stopped by a bunch of times to buy miscellaneous mountain bike gear and have always found everyone there to be helpful. Today, after changing a tube on my Trek, I couldn't get the bead to seat properly on the rim. I popped in pretty close to closing and they still helped me straighten it out. Thanks Nate!

Fantastic service! I asked if I could rent just a skin, and I was kind of surprised they said yes, but then they cut it to fit my ski even though I was using it for just a day!

Exceptional customer service, technical knowledge and at a great price. I brought in two eMTBs to update the drive train and make the bikes more ergonomic for two people in their 60s. I worked with Ric Sieben (associate GM), Jason Mezey (owner) and team to upgrade the bikes. Ric went out of his way to locate a hub XD driver for an SRAM Eagle GX cassette upgrade that I had been told by other bike shops and the web was unavailable or simply not possible. The team expertly configured and installed the new driver, and upgraded cassette, chain, and shifter. The best part was Ric found the perfect customized PNW handlebar to give my wife and I additional rise and sweep to help with our various disabilities. The team also professionally wrapped the many cables protruding from the bike (see attached pictures). I could not provide a higher recommendation to this company.

My husband and I take our bikes here. This is a great alternative to the big chain bike stores in the Springs. If you live on the north part of town, you should consider these guys. They are very efficient, do great work, are technically proficient, and the prices are very reasonable. We have often taken our bikes in for quick adjustments, and those are done on the spot. They are also very good at larger, more mechanical issues. Great service!

Beware of their Continental mountain bike tires. Bought two 27.5 (around 80 for the pair) and have had nothing but trouble with them fitting right on the wheel. Brought them back after a couple of days in the beginning and he was able to get it kind of fixed on the wheel where i could ride somewhat comfortably but everytime i have a flat cant seem to get the unevenness out of the tires when i put new tube in. The last time I brought it in the employee just flat out told me its not the tire its my rim even though i told him ive had the same issue before. Went home put my old tire which still has some tread left on it back on and it fits perfectly no bouncing down the road. Was going to go back and show him but whats the use ive already had them for a couple of months. Im sure refunds expired and im just tired of it.

More important than choosing bike brand is choosing your bike shop. There are retailers all over CO that sell high-end bikes (and they'll treat you like pooo), but finding a shop that will treat you with value is paramount. Fortunately, Routes Outfitters sells the brand I wanted. Customer service has been top-notch and so was my pricing. They're smaller and local, but have offered to order whatever I want or need. They've earned a five star review from me and hopefully more business from you.
