Please note that before I went here, I tried a training place that "specialized" in German Shepherds. Unfortunately, they were not very good trainers, and after 6 or so sessions, there was 0 improvement in his behavior. I'm not an expert, so that's why I pay trainers for help. I decided to go here since it has many great reviews raving about their training. I've later learned that the bad reviewers are threatened and there are many fake reviews on here.PLEASE NOTE: Their style of training is now considered old and destructive by many vets and professionals in this field. Please find a place that does positive reinforcement training. If you enjoy abusing your dog, this is the place to go.During our first two training sessions, everything seemed to be going OK. He was less anxious than the first time he ever went there since dogs were constantly barking nonstop. Most of them were extremely anxious and did not like having a muzzle AND shock collar on. After the second training session, things started to get worse. He was more reactive and aggressive towards both people and dogs, whereas before, he wasn't really reactive towards people. He was mostly reactive towards other dogs. 2 months after starting our training with Sit Means Sit, he bit one of our friends, which he had never done before and has been around many people. Today, he bit his third person. He was never this aggressive towards other people, nor had he ever bit anyone until we started training him at their facility. At this point, we will most likely need to put him down for fear this will continue and lead to someone getting killed or seriously injured, especially since we now have a newborn. What I also loved about their quality after the second training session is that it goes completely in the trash. The third session and thereafter were basically my wife and me training our dog ourselves with 0 guidance from the trainers. If I needed a place to train my dog solely by myself, I could've just used my backyard.I might post injury photos at a later time.

I had my people unfriendly and very reactive dog go to training for 10 days (he was there for 13 days total). Couldn’t be happier with the results. They took super good care of him and I feel so much better about how my dog will interact with new people in the future.Their prices were extremely reasonable and I love that they are behavior based. Meaning, if the training doesn’t work as well, you aren’t wasting money because they continue to work with you for free.I highly recommend taking your dog here if you need training. Our dog trained with Skylar and she was amazing!

My husband and I added a Mastiff to the family recently, & while we worked with him to have basic training fundamentals down, it was a challenge to get him fully leash trained & well mannered in public spaces. Like many pet owners, he is a part of our family & as such we want to be able to take him places with us; such as the park, or on family walks. We came to Sit Means Sit for some expert help, as everything we were doing with him wasn’t quite sticking. We were connected with a trainer named Todd, he took the time to meet with us to understand our training wants and needs for our pup & go through the best options for our family. After our dog completed his stay at the facility we took him home & while we saw improvement in his in-home behavior, there were still some challenges when there were distractions & other dogs present in public settings. We connected with Todd, who quickly responded and adjusted the training plan for Taiyo. After the adjustments were made to his program we saw significant improvement in his behavior & are excited to see the progress as we continue to work with him. Sit Means Sit will tell you in your initial consultation meeting that once you’re in you’re family, & that is so true. Each time we have entered the facility we have been greeted with warm smiles, the individuals at the facility all care so much about each dog in their care, each one we see greeting Taiyo with a smile and a head scratch. I would highly recommend checking out Sit Means Sit if you’re looking for a trustworthy training facility.

I can’t recommend “Sit Means Sit Enough”. My little guy is just 7 months old. Zeb has graduated to their AKC training plus starting therapy training. They’re results oriented and the trainers go above and beyond with their caring. Todd came to my home to train Zeb in my neighborhood. Amazing! Truly helped me with my Skills! He’s becoming a little Sir Means Sit Ambaasador. ? Zeb is becoming an Actor and his training is critical to his success.

My experience has been really good. Everyone is really nice and helpful with my training questions. My dog has made a lot of progress in many areas in a short amount of time already, so it’s really nice to see. We look forward to group classes and continued improvements.

Where do I even begin with Sit Means Sit? They have truly been a game-changer for me and my furry friend, Winnie. From the moment we walked through their doors, we were greeted with warmth and expertise. The trainers at Sit Means Sit are not only incredibly knowledgeable but also genuinely passionate about what they do. The board and stay training was an investment, but money well spent because we now have such a well behaved dog whom we love so much. The training sessions were tailored to my dog's specific needs, and the progress we made was remarkable. I was amazed at how quickly my dog responded to their positive reinforcement techniques. They provided us with the tools and guidance to address behavioral issues and establish a strong bond of trust and respect. Not only did Sit Means Sit help with basic obedience commands, but they also went above and beyond to address more challenging behaviors. They were patient and understanding throughout the entire process, making sure both my dog and I felt supported and encouraged. What I appreciate most about Sit Means Sit is their commitment to ongoing support. Even after the training sessions were complete, they were always available to answer any questions I had or provide additional guidance. It's evident that they genuinely care about the well-being and success of every dog and their owner.I cannot recommend Sit Means Sit enough. If you're looking for a dog training facility that is professional, compassionate, and truly dedicated to helping you and your furry companion thrive, look no further. Five stars just don't seem enough to express my gratitude for the positive impact they've had on our lives!

We have had our Aussiedoodle in training at sit means sit. What an amazing job Justin did with our girl. She is so well behaved in all situations now. Justin was super personable and always helpful. We look forward to seeing him at group classes. And our Shania loves Justin so much! I would recommend Justin for any training needs!

They won't have no time to train your dog, their excuses is they're fully booked. They don't really train your dog, you're the one that's actually training your dog! Way overpriced!

So far we’ve had 3 in-home training sessions and have seen great results. Loren and Todd are the two specialists who’ve done training with us and they are both very helpful and kind. Our Pekingese Koda has aggression and issues with fear. The training method has helped with both aspects and is a great tool for him to improve in his behavior. We still have a long way to go, but Sit Means Sit has been worth every penny and I would recommend them to anyone looking for dog training.
