Springs Ensemble Theatre

Springs Ensemble Theatre is a small, intimate theatre. The venue is hidden in the back and has a front end. The atmosphere is great. Everyone really gets into the play, and the acting is exceptional. The seating is very comfortable, and there is a great couch. Tickets are very reasonable, $15 a piece. There are Sunday matinee showings, and they have evenings, too. The service was great and the prices were reasonable. The cocktails were fun and beer was reasonably priced. There is a fine selection of eats and adult beverages. The food coming out looked really good. The theatre puts on cutting-edge, vibrant shows that make people cry, laugh, and feel. The 3-man cast gave a riveting performance, with mannerisms and voices that closely emulated their respective characters. The quality of talent is impressive. However, there is disheartened and disappointed feeling about the recent and rampant usage of AI in the construction of show posters and playbill designs. This AI usage is cheapening the incredible, outstanding work that members of this community work so hard to produce. It slams a door in the face of a hopeful, undiscovered creative in the community and causes the theatre to profit off of plagiarized and cheap “work” of an AI chatbot that only guzzles more water and depletes the world’s resources with every picture generated. The theatre is capable of better and should stand for the planet, for the community, and for original ART.
