We had a wonderful experience during a recent stay. Our 5th floor suite was beautiful, quiet and comfortable. The service was excellent and very friendly. Complimentary valet and coffee at the coffee bar (which was good!). We will look forward to coming back when we have an opportunity to experience the spa and the new bar they will be adding!

Honestly I hope they fixed the race problem in this hotel because if I decided to come down to the lounge to sit and drink my coffee in peace. If anyone comes to me without a badge stating this lobby is private and do u have a room ? I will be offended, because who are you asking me anything without a badge. They could’ve handled that situation better than I seen online. I’m totally disappointed.

Is currently being remodeled/restored to its historic state with modern touches. The lobby is now fully open and finished. Highly recommend stopping in for a drink/meal at the bar and lounging in the swanky lobby. You can tell a lot of thought was put into every little detail for the remodel.Has a real “Continental” vibe from John Wick. Very upscale classy.

You know for the price of this hotel and the overall beauty of the lobby, I was expecting a lot more when it came to room accommodations. The rooms themselves were exactly like staying in the local Hampton. Absolutely no difference in quality nor comfort. The staff here was absolutely amazing, they made it worth it but I would expect more from the room accommodations.

The mining exchange is a fabulous historic building. My husband and I are big fans of historic architecture and really loved the building. Our room was very nicely put together. It is obvious some real thought was put into curating the furnishings and design update of this hotel. We were definitely excited about our glimpse into what the finished product will be. I gave a 4 star only because there is a TON of construction currently going on. The historic hotel lobby is not at all accessible and even walking to our room felt like walking through a construction zone with plastic, painting tape and hard hat signs posted. Also, amenities that were listed as being included such as robes and coffee machine were not in the room. We still enjoyed our room and obviously the hotel will not always be under construction. Definitely look forward to coming back when things are finished up as I expect the renovations will continue to be wonderful.

The new rooms have no place to put anything. Our hygiene kits have to set on the ground. Our clothing has nowhere to go so we have to keep the suitcases out. There is no coffee service. There is no phone to call front desk. The room itself is oddly shaped and feels like it use to be a hallway. The customer service is awful. But the curtains and wallpaper are fantastic.

We were very happy with our room and accommodations at the hotel this past weekend! The staff was excellent and helpful. The location was perfect for what we were looking for. And we're excited to see the new renovations next time we return!

First of all, whoever is the manager of this hotel should be fired! This is the most disorganized hotel we have ever stayed in. We read all the AMENITIES and thought we would spend a little more and get a lot more. First of all, we paid over $230 for the Queen Premium room. The city view was the building next door, the only chair was an office chair, there was no coffee machine, no mini refrigerator, no bath robes, no two headed shower. I had to go down and ask for a coffee machine and the bath robes. They brought up the machine and coffee pods but no cups. I had to go down AGAIN to get coffee cups and all they had was large which did not fit in the machine. I would safe money and hassle and go to a Motel 6 for a better room than we got here.

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTELNOT WORTH THE MONEYF-RatingWe strolled into Colorado Springs for the Labor Day Lift Off and decided to stay at the Mining Exchange for its location and close proximity to restaurants and the park where the event was being held.To start our experience, we checked in went to our rooms to find that someone had thrown up on the carpet right Infront of the room we were given. We jumped over the vomit to use the room phone to call the front desk to advise them. There was NO PHONE in the room to call the front desk. So we jumped over the vomit again went down the elevator to the lobby and advised the front desk who took care of it right away. Our first night in our room which had a connecting door was loud and terrible. The occupants of the room next door were part of a bachelorette party and they decided to bring the after party to their room with over 20 females in one room intoxicated. Yelling and laughing from about 10pm to about 4am. I could not call downstairs because the room did not have a phone and did not want to get up, get dressed and walk down to the lobby so i put on my headphones and tried to whiteout the noise. This worked fine till about 2am when my headphones died. At 2am i got fed up walked downstairs to complain only to find that the lobby and whole street was surrounded by Colorado Springs PD because a police pursuit ended with the getaway car ramming into multiple parked Valet cars parked out front. Our car was just 2 cars away from where the pursuit ended. Even though the front lobby had their hands full they sent security up to check on the noise and the room. They knocked on their door and told them to stay quiet which did not work and 1 hour later i had to go back downstairs and complain again. I asked for another room but the hotel was booked and were unable to move me rooms till the morning. After he second complaint, security called all occupants out of the noisy room and the noise stopped. Only 1 hour left till we had to get up and go to the Labor Day Lift Off event, so we had little to no sleep. Then at our checkout as we got on the elevator with all our bags the elevator got stuck and we were unable to open the door for 10 minutes. Finally we got out were able to use the stairs and walk down 5+ luggages between 4 people.Other issues this hotel has is a very narrow hallway in the lobby in and out of the elevators. With construction going on in an already narrow space. There is no coffee bar in the rooms at all, no telephones in the rooms. The lobby has a pitiful coffee station that can be found better at your local holiday inn for the price you are paying here.Parking is only valet at $45 dollars a day and if you want to self park it really becomes a mission.

We stayed at the Mining Exchange for our elopement, and it was PERFECT! The staff were all very friendly, and really showcased how dedicated to the property they were. Jill at the front desk was so knowledgeable, and made our wedding weekend perfect. The rooms were luxurious and recently renovated. This location will definitely be an anniversary tradition for us for years to come.

I stayed here for two nights as I was competing at the Ed Robson arena for weightlifting. The location of the hotel is AWESOME! The arena as well as the Olympic museum is in walking distance. There are a LOT of restaurants, and bars that are all in walking distance. The hotel is under construction and that did make it a little weird… you have to enter through the side instead of the front (there are signs telling you where to go). It did feel a little odd at sometimes my room was on the 2nd floor and the room next to me was completely gutted. Kinda creeped me out a bit. The construction was never loud at least not when I was there. It’s just kind of messy looking. The room size is HUGE. Wasn’t expecting the bathroom to be so large. I think the biggest downfall for me is the room was kind of dark. I felt it needed more lighting or brighter lights. The staff was so so so so great. They offer free bottles of water which I really appreciated. They were super helpful in telling me places to go eat/ see. The one valet guy even stood outside with me as I waited for my Uber. The night front desk girl was great (I think her name was Julie). I was scared flying in after reading some pretty bad reviews. I had a great stay.

Great place and great staff but under renovation and a bit weird presentation right now. Great location and very dog friendly! Room had a bit of an "old" smell. The valet guys and front desk gals are incredible! Room size and layout was wonderful.

We visited the Mining Exchange for three days over Memorial Day weekend. This historic building was undergoing renovations at the time of our stay but maintained its rustic charm and had all the modern amenities. The best part of our stay was the wonderful staff from front desk to valet to maintenance crew. Everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable about what to see and do in Colorado Springs. Jill the front desk manager went above and beyond to make our stay something truly special.Walkability: Central location in Colorado springs with a multitude of bars and shops within a 10 minute walk.
