Picking up the vehicle was easy and the employee was pleasant.On return - the sign near the return booth says remain with the vehicle and someone will come check you in. But no one did. I was the only customer - it was a Friday evening - and sat there for 5-10 minutes before going inside. There were no customers in there either and the not busy clerk came out and checked me in. Maybe remove the sign if you're not going to come out when a vehicle arrives.Also, I was disappointed that U-haul did not honor my original reservation for a van in Canon City, requiring me to drive my own vehicle 100 miles (round trip) to pick up a van. If you don't have equipment in a location do not offer it on your website. By the time I was notified (less than 24 hours before I was to pick up) I didn't have many options.

Rented a Uhaul truck at their location on Platte they guy had problems with their system and couldn't give me my Uhaul truck on time so,I could start mowing my things. So they sent me to another location to pick up a Uhaul truck. So I lost an hour to move my belongings. Still was charge for the hour I lost from their mistake. I will never rent from Uhaul again. Nor recommend my family or friends to rent from Uhaul.

I asked about possibly extending the time and was told that as long as i had it back before the store opened, i was good. I was never told i would get charged for 2 days! And there was no dolly even though i paid for one

Wouldn’t rent a trailer to me for three days and unable to accommodate move or unwilling. Still wanted credit card information. Might add was informed by the Uhaul customer service number that they had the trailer and I would be able to rent it.This location just chose not to.

They tried to change truck sizes on us or lar us drive and additional ten miles to get a truck and didn't notify us until 15 minutes before the truck rental. Willing to deduct the mileage that they were going to charge us for the additional driving, or at least my accounted against us. And they wouldn't give us the same price on another truck. We placed the order well ahead of time, but they were not willing to honor their own commitments. Can't trust them, go somewhere else.

The initial customer service was really great and everyone was very nice and accommodating during the whole process of renting the truck. I had some problems with the online check in system but it ended up being made much easier by the young lady, Jessica, who helped us. The biggest issue though was there was such a significant amount of water damage to the items inside the truck during the move. There was a storm during moving and the whole front of the truck (the "mothers attic") was completely filled with water, so much so that during the 20 minute drive between locations all the boxes up there were completely soaked on the bottom and all but two of them completely broke apart and fell out. The larger items like the couches and mattresses were also wet on at least two sides of every single item, causing a large potential for mildew among my larger furniture items, as well as the water damage to everything in the truck that was effected. The only ONE thing in the entire truck that didn't get wet was covered in a moving blanket, which WAS wet! Then when we dropped off the truck the young lady had stated FOUR other trucks that were also rented out that day had the same problem. These are peoples personal belongings, their entire homes and lives in these trucks sometimes and this is completely unacceptable. Didn't offer any kinds of resolutions, discounts or even apologies for these people either, just "that sucks all your stuff was damaged or destroyed". That doesn't really reassure someone for a businesses reliability, equipment functionality or customer retention.

People here are very rude. I know most of us don’t like our jobs but at least fake it especially if you’re in customer services. Also they take their sweet time about 15-20 min per customer.

STAY AWAY. They can't be bothered by your order and will take their sweet time getting to you. Then when you return the rental, they will nickel and dime you to death and find excuses to charge you for things you didn't do or use. All the bad reviews of this place should've kept me from coming here in the first place. lesson learned.

Do not recommend!!!! Their customer service is atrocious and rude. They don't keep you updated and every person seems clueless. My mom had great service in FL and then on this end, it's been absolutely ridiculous. Stay away from this location at all costs.

Went in to get some packing peanuts and there was one person working. When I got to the counter the phone rang and instead of placing the customer on hold I proceeded to wait 10 minutes just to check out because he was taking a rental when my items would have taken 2 minutes..all the while there were at least 3 other employees walking in and out of the building. I paid cash and the employee had to wait for the assistant manager to give me change ?It would make more sense to wait on the person standing in front of you first or at least acknowledge me in the slightest. At least they had what I needed.

Equipment was OK, Customer service was awful. My wife was resting from an illness, but they insisted on calling her to verify an "Emergency Contact". After I explained her situation, they told me the policy is immutable and I was welcome to leave without the rental. I needed it for a customer commitment, and had to interrupt my Son at work with the "Emergency Contact" BS to get the vehicle.Not sure if this branch is to blame, or U-Haul Axxhole management.Frequently used this branch last year with good results, but management/policy has changed.Ditto for the return. Got there a couple minutes after closing, but staff was present. They refused to check me in, and I had to use their buggy return app and hang in a phone queue for "Customer Service" when it failed . A compete waste of a half hour.There is an Enterprise truck rental close by, plus Budget. Never again U-Haul.

I had an 8am reservation to pickup my trailer at the academy location. I called 1 day before the reservation to confirm the pickup location, as I received a text that it would be at the El Paso dealer location which was incorrect. The employee working at Academy location confirmed the pickup location was, in fact, Academy and not El Paso. I arrived 15 min before my reservation. I waited 10 minutes after my reservation. Once I was finally helped, they told me my trailer was at the El Paso location. I did all the necessary steps to ensure this went smoothly, making a reservation one month ahead of time, calling to confirm, and getting there early. I was told by the store employee that we “talked to someone on the corporate line and they don’t know”. This was incorrect. We spoke to someone and they specifically said they were at the Academy location. Additionally, we were shown notes from a call I received two days prior to my reservation. The notes in the system state “customer was told uhaul pickup location is not guaranteed”. This is also incorrect. That conversation never happened, they completely fabricated these notes and when I explained exactly what I said, did, etc. they said “nothing we can do about it”. The utter incompetence and disregard for customers is completely unacceptable. They didn’t even make it right. When asked if they could bring the trailer to the Academy location, they said “we don’t do that”. When asked for compensation for traveling and time spent, again I was told “we don’t do that”. So, you don’t put your trailers where you say you will, you don’t care for your customer whatsoever…. What do you do then? I would NOT recommend this store or even uhaul in general. Go with Penske, it’s cheaper and reliable. I should have done them but figured a trailer isn’t a big deal. I was wrong. Time and time again I am let down by uhaul and given their corporate language BS. Seriously, DO NOT rent from uhaul if you plan to pick up where you were promised. I’ll never do business with them again.

My wife and I stopped in on a Tuesday to reserve a motorcycle trailer for Wednesday. The man said they had one there, and when we got there Wednesday, they did not have one and rented us a big one, not for motorcycle. We canceled that one and got a refund. We found another dealer in the opposite direction that we were going. When I called and talked to the manager on Thursday, he did not apologize for the inconvenience or seem to care at all. We're moving in a few months, and we'll never use that place again.
