I have mixed feelings about Animal ER Care. I took my toy yorkie to Uintah Pet Emergency. They were great however not open 24 hours. Unfortunately my dog needed to stay over night. So I would need to transfer her to to Animal ER Care when Uintah Pet Emergency closed. The Uintah Pet Emergency coordinated the transfer and sent all necessary records. I assumed it would be a drop off situation as it was already set up by pervious location. However it took 2 hours.. They put us in a room, then proceeded to ask the same exact questions and required I again reach out to pet poison hotline. Identical to the previous office. In my opinion a waste of time and redundant. Especially because previous office sent all this information already. We then sat for a very long time. While four employees just stood around in the hallway behind the front desk. They were gossiping and hanging out. After waiting for an hour and forty five minutes, I finally stepped into the hall and asked "what was going on?" "It's taken almost 2 hours for a transfer, come on guys." Ironically the Dr. was just then ready to see us.. I was advised by both locations I could pick my dog up at 3pm the next day. The next day not one phone call was made to give me an update or status of treatment with my dog. I reached out to Animal ER Care 16 different times!! They never answered once. Confusing to me as there were employees the previous night just hovering by the front desk. I ended up just going there at 3pm to pick my dog up. Once I got there they put me in a room again. I was informed they had yet to do the required blood work for discharge.. So again I waited quite some time. They provided the bill. I was not exactly happy that they charged 160.00 for an "exam" even though it was just a transfer that the previous vet coordinated and sent all necessary records.. Plus all they did was check her temperature and listened to her heart! To me that is not an exam.. Again we had to go over the exact same info as previous office already obtained. Including the poison control data and case number. Yet they still had me call Pet poison hotline again and get the same information already provided.. I dont think I'd ever use this place again if possible, and I had a choice. So to wrap it up they provided good care to my dog but everything else was lacking!! In addition to snotty front staff..

This is what I consider a 5-star customer service. When people care about your animal and relate with your pain. The veterinarian was so knowledgeable that as soon she saw my kitty immediately knew what to do. I am very grateful for saving the life of my little one. Thank you so much!

We have had many experiences at this vet center. The staff there is amazing. They truly care for not only your animals but also for the people who bring them in. They are compassionate and professional. The prices are fair, and they don't charge for unnecessary things.

Everyone in the office is so caring and helpful. We had to take our boy in for emergency care. They were very honest with us about his condition and did everything to make him and us comfortable at the end of his life.

This place blew it when I took my dog there for euthhinasia. I don't even know where to start. Please read the whole review so you don't make the same mistake I did. When I got there and asked about their method, because we wanted sedation, they said that they don't do "deep sedation" because it "messes with the other drugs." However, they said and PROMISED that the first drug was a sedative, and we'd have a chance to say one more goodbye then, and then WHEN WE WERE READY the vet would give the medicine that makes the heart stop. So, in comes the vet with the medication, before the techs even put in the IV, and acts all confused, leaves, gets the tech for the IV. Then, when we rang the bell they gave us to say we were ready for the girls drug, the vet shows up, gives him the first one, he falls asleep, mostly, and she pushes what she calls the "anesthetic" but is actually the one that kills him, and tells us that's how it needs to be done. So, it's gone bad enough already, but then she checks to make sure he's gone, but he still has a heartbeat. She says she has to go get a little more solution to finish and WTH??? She's now told us the drug had to be given immediately, fails to give him enough, has no extra with her, and leaves to go get more. How do they not know this could happen and just have more with them?????? So she leaves us with our only partially dead dog, comes back several minutes late with more "solution," injects it, and the IV line falls apart and solution and blood come out. She checks his vitals again and says he has passed, probably while she was gone. My mom stayed behind for a few minutes and said he was still moving a tiny bit. She was told that this is normal, and that the vet was positive he was gone, but it's hard to trust someone who has already screwed this up?On top of this, while we were in the room waiting for this to start, with the lights dimmed, and our baby trying to relax, the secretary shows up to inform me that I have an outstanding balance at their practice, and I've been ignoring their emails attempts to inform me of this balance, and their "finance department" wants the money. Keep in mind, this issue is not about the same dog, and the charges were suspicious because they weren't even on the bill I paid when I checked my other dog out after a visit 6 months ago. In any case, she stands there over us while we're sitting on the floor with the dog, watching me dig desperately for a credit card I had forgotten at home as I didn't have enough with me for their $450 euthhinasia "package." I finally figured that I could take money from my debit card, and they finally agreed to let me pay half online. And this all happened while we were trying to say goodbye, meaning some of the last minutes of my time with my dog were spent digging around like a fool, by someone standing above me.And, Animal ER Care staff, before you write one of your little replies gaslighting me about what happened, you should dig into your heart's and think long and hard about how much destruction you've already done to my family.

I went to the ER for a respiratory issue with my dog. They cared about my pitbull and I. We're very professional and super kind always asking if i needed something to drink. A little bit of a wait with it being an emergency vet. But they had a TV with Netflix on it so that made it way better.

I've had very good experiences before at Animal ER. Granted, those circumstances were much more visually serious than the reason I was there with my dog today. We left without being seen for what still appears to be my dog's neck or shoulder or both injury causing pain and balance issues after the 3rd " there's one ahead of you." When he was triaged, the observation was insuffiently short and to fully demonstrate the severity of the injury. Apparently, the subjective evaluation of his condition wasn't considered severe enough, so we kept getting bumped to the back of the line. I know this location has levels of what is considered an emergency. I'm not heartless, but from a lay person's observation, my dog's injury didn't seem any less emergent than the "patients" that arrived after us but were seen before us. And, we weren't informed that we were being bumped even though we were sitting in the waiting room. It was quite a waste of time and energy. We'll, hopefully, be able to tough it out until our already scheduled appointment with our regular vet this upcoming week.

I haven't visited yet, but truly want to. I need a doctor who can do surgery near the colon/rectum for my cat, and I want to call to be able to be sure there's someone there who can do it, since I live far away. Can I please have a phone number?
