My family and I have been shopping at Safeway for over a decade and in the last week I have had the worst experience. Not once but twice I received moldy food. Once in store and once on mobile order. When I went in store in regards to the rice (all pictures posted below) they handed me expired coupons and sent me on my way. I hate leaving reviews like this but this needs to be addressed.

I needed a cake made for my sons birthday. I asked for something very simple. Purple icing with green drippings down the side... this is what I got. My son could've done this himself. Plus she added extra stuff on the side and on the top. I specifically asked for it to be plain so that I could decorate it myself.

Came into grab something and some nutcase was standing in front of the exit talking to any employee that would listen about the "mask conspiracy" of course with her mask hanging down. She was looking for a fight:..like they all are so I just walked on by an extra few feet passed the requirement. Ya'll lost. Let it go. Isn't that what ya'll said 4 years ago? Sucks to have spat back at you with the same tone..:think about that next time.

This is a 5-Star pharmacy! I'm traveling through Colorado Springs and I was greeted within 30 seconds of walking up and they took time to input my discount card number to get me a lower price. They filled my prescriptions while I waited - even though they didn't have a big staff behind the counter - and I was back "on vacation" within 30 minutes of parking in the lot!!

Their pharmacy is why I am giving them 5 stars. It has been one of the best in town. They have a drive through window and the staff is extremely knowledgeable. They actually care and it shows. It's never busy when I have gone. I went before and after shutdown. Before the shutdown they did ok with everything but I always spent more money. Then when I shopped at other supermarkets. The bakery, butcher, checkout, and staff in general seemed polite but not overall welcoming then. . . Now . . . After shutdowns from COVID I see everyone wearing masks and staff wiping down carts. All the service has improved. Friendly checking out and everyone is quick to help. I found the price seems to be lower on some items now. The overall experience is much improved. The bakery has one person who makes cakes so if you want a special one order ahead. I am really happy with the much better service and experience. I hope they keep going in this direction!!!

I called and talked to pharmacy tech. PLEASE enunciate!! She told me the price for the flu shot, which has 4 strains....quad-something is the name of it. I asked her to repeat the name because she slurred it. Instead of repeating it she said "the normal flu shot". Since it had the prefix quad in the name, I asked if that meant 4 different strains of flu. She said yes. It was clear speaking to me as if I had a brain was not her thing. She was not about explaining. I can only assume she did not know how. I asked if there was a way to get the price lowered, and she said "get a coupon from "gooderex". Huh? I told her that I could not understand what she was saying. She said "OK" and was clearly ready to sign off. THIS is really how a tech is trained?? I had to call someone else and ask if they knew what gooderex was. They explained it was Good RX. PLEASE, learn to pronounce things. I can help. Contact me if you are ready for training.

If you ever have to deal with Carrie at this store, God help you. Don't know how the Safeway Corp. allows employment of a person with her attitude. On top of it, she is Admin. I have never seen her smile, and she loves to argue.

After standing at your deli counter for nearly 10 minutes while two employees ignored me, I walked out without buying anything. The store was not busy, so there was no excuse for this. if this was the first time something like this happen, I could probably let it go, but it's not. I will go to the Safeway on Austin Bluffs but I won't shop at this location again.
