“This elegant European market is tucked into an unobtrusive, L-shaped space sandwiched between Restaurant Olivia and a Starbucks at the very busy intersection of Downing Street and Alameda Avenue. You must be driving west on Alameda to access the parking lot. There is a large sign there.
You can enter the market from the main entrance facing Alameda or from the back entrance off the parking lot. The front of the store has a long wall of imported groceries and a bakery counter offering breads, pastries, quiches, fresh sandwiches (on baguette, croissant, or pretzel bun), soups, salads, and a wide variety of imported chips and drinks.
There's a huge cheese cooler and lots of chilled, grab-and-go items. A table offers some kitchenware and gifts. A seating area is provided by the parking lot entrance.
I'm on the mailing list which has offered a series of food specials and pop-up events. I was enticed in last weekend by a pop-up cassoulet special. I arrived to find a tent at the edge of the parking lot, sheltering a huge propane wok. The white beans, sausage, and pork belly were gently simmering with a wonderful aroma. What a treat!”
“This place is so cute. The hot meatball is so good. Every order of a sandwich comes with a bag of chips and they have a variety of drinks in a case like a gas station. Definitely coming back here!”
“My store started carrying this brand and my first try was chorizo. Me and my father both agree it's the best ever. Then tried there Italian and my Italian mother said it reminded her of her mother. Since then I've tried them all they consistently the best.”
“The butcher is amazing!!! She’s really come through for us on special occasions and holidays—seriously helped us cook some absolute show stoppers. We also love going to the butcher for everyday needs. The quality is great and the butcher is so knowledgeable and helpful. Every time we walk in we tell ourselves we need to go more often. It’s really great to have a butcher we trust and enjoy going to.”

“I love this store! They have a huge selection of Russian and European foods and delicacies, from sausages and cheese to caviar and smoked fish. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially the girls who work at the deli section. They make fresh salads, pastries, and other delicious dishes every day. “I was quite disappointed with market. Maybe it was great when opened but not anymore. First of all strong food cooked food. You are five minutes in there and you need to do a laundry. Maybe I expected it to be a store sourced from Eastern Europe but there are no such items at all.”

“Great place to deliver food. The staff here is nice and freindly and they are very fast and professional at getting you unloaded here. I was in and out in about an hr. There's plenty of parking out on the streets if you arrive here late at night. Just don,t be blocking anything, and noone will bother you. The staff shows up at 0700, so if there's a door available between docks 1-6, just back into one of them. The staff will come out, knock on your door, and they will get the bills from you and tell you to back in.”

“I was late, and after my arrival I started having issues with my reefer unit. They let me leave the facility to go get my reefer fixed up and when I came back they loaded me up even tho the place was already closed down. Loaded pretty quick, and the people were really nice.”

“I have come to this Carniceria before for some things (medicine) before and some little things. The staff is nice and welcoming. I actually grabbed some produce last visit and some vegetables and fruit looked old as well as some meat. I wanted some beef chuck ribs and when I was cutting them I felt they looked so much thinner and had more fat the the ones I saw on videos of the receipt I was following that were purchased on a packet from some grocery store. The chorizo was good I’ll say.”
“I've been visiting this store since March and love the selection and friendly service at checkout. It's always nice to see friendly employees, especially the woman with blonde hair in the baking department - she's always polite and friendly.
However, there is a point that I would like to note. Almost every time I approach the pie aisle, I am confronted with rudeness from a woman with dark hair. From the very beginning of communication, a phrase is heard in a rather sharp tone: “Tell me IMMEDIATELY, should you warm up or not?” As a client, sometimes I still don’t have time to make a choice, and I would like to have at least 10 extra seconds to think about it. There have been cases (and more than once) when, having ASKED to be heated IMMEDIATELY, as she ordered, I heard in response: “THEY ARE SO HOT, WHERE ELSE?” This phrase sounds like they are rushing me or wanting to get rid of it quickly.
Recently, an incident occurred that completely left an unpleasant aftertaste. When I had already picked up my purchase and returned literally a minute later to ask for napkins, I was again told in a rude manner: “WHY DIDN’T YOU IMMEDIATELY SAY THAT YOU NEEDED napkins?” This caused confusion. I, as a client, am not obligated to know in advance whether there are napkins in the package or need to ask separately, or to immediately understand whether the cakes are hot or not. Politeness and friendliness in such situations create an atmosphere to which you want to return.
I really hope that this review will be received with understanding and will help make the service even better. I'm sure such a good store could only benefit from having all the employees as nice as they were at the checkout counter and as the blonde woman in the bakery department.
I couldn't give a 1 star rating because of the other nice staff. But please take this point into account and work on the service. Thank you for your attention!”

“I ordered a Thanksgiving turkey and a ham 3 weeks early and went in the Sunday before Thanksgiving and picked it up. I would have preferred to be able to pick it up later but Sunday was the day that they wanted me in there. The turkey was good but four of us got sick two days later from leftovers. Can't say it was the turkey, but it did taste pretty rank after Thanksgiving. It was very expensive and I will probably never go there again.”

“Hands down the best sausages and dogs ive ever had. Took a tour years ago. Keep seeing their products around. The story behind the business is incredible, i miss the cafe. They make the best real encased sauages/brats/hefs. And they have the best treat for kids ive ever seen, hot dogs with mac and cheese inside them.. phenomenal. They are all meat no filler and have a snap to the casing when cooked just right. A must see and taste for any foodie or chef who wants to make a 1st class sandwich.”
“The food was too good. Once that asada entered my mouth I heard the gates call upon me. Angels started singing I saw the white lights n all. That was absolutely too deliciously made. Anyways back to my rant about the asada. I felt my soul ascending as soon as the sweet delicate cow entered the hot cave of my mouth. If I could write a fanfiction about the ASADA I really would. Can you tell I liked the ASADA. Anyways 100% the best”

“Very quick and great ppl. Only 1 dock to deliver.Tight space. No overnight parking. Only one truck can be parked infront of company. You can park on the street at own risk. I dont feel it risky. Street is not busy. They woke me up around 5 15 AM. Its better you stop by TA or I 25 Ramp shoulder wherever possible. Easy to locate company. Follow phone GPS not trucks. Keep Rollin ✨️”
