“Love having this local gas station and store..they have what you need in a pinch and more. Really nice staff and the family that owns it really care about the community..it's not just a tourist stop..it is a place to grab my diet coke in the morning and get a laugh or kind words for the day.”

“Very solid inn on the edge of town. Much of the room was recently redone though some of the furniture looked original - especially a heavily stained bench, which detracted from other elements. Beds are comfortable enough; I've slept on better and slept on worse. The new blue towels were a nice touch. Breakfast is about what you might expect. However, some of the best breakfast burritos we've ever eaten were a stone's throw down the road at the Farm Stand store next to City Market. There were few guests during our stay but I would expect one would hear some noise from rooms and doors and corridor footsteps based on our limited experience.”

“We stayed here for one night during our road trip across Colorado and couldn't recommend it enough. Cherri, the owner, was so kind and offered us many recommendations/advice on places to go. The room was very clean and had everything you needed (mini refrigerator, television, toiletries). We found the location to be great as well, being very close to the North Rim of Black Canyon NP. Would highly recommend the Hitching Post to anyone looking to stay in the area.”
