“Went in there to get some oxtail and tell me why this man pulls out a WHOLE FREAKIN ox tail and sliced it right in front of me. The meatiest oxtail Ive ever had. I got home and my wife cooked it up and oh man this is the best oxtail I ever had. I mean compliments to my wife but this man is a master butcher and he has a great personality. He also seemed to be received well by his customers. Definitely coming back”

Been here a few time now and have not been disappointed they have good cuts of meats and even a good beef or chicken fajita mix ready for cooking at home. “Started my day just googling local butchers in Denver and stumbled apron this shop, the reviews sold me from the beginning so I decided to give them a call about meat bundles they may have! The Man who answers the phone was beyond happy to help and give me recommendations as well ask insist any questions I have to just give him a call. I was sold by the customer service right away and decided let’s go in store and check it out! The selection was amazing and the prices where spot on for what I was looking to spend, we decided on the dry aged sante fe cut which the butcher gave some recommendations and tips on how to go about cooking. We just finished that cut in second after cooking it! The beef was truest an amazing piece of meat! I can’t wait to be back for that bundle❤️ highly recommend to any one in Denver!”

“By far the best carniceria I've been to in Denver. When you drive up, there is loud music blaring, there is everything you need to whip up an amazing and authentic Mexican dish and they have fresh tortillas for sale. There is also a restaurant in the back that had a line incredibly long so we weren't able to try it, but will definitely be back soon to do so!”

“I love everything about WSD! The warm welcoming shop atmosphere, thoughtful product diversity featuring other local vendors and the knowledgeable staff. Everything about this place is top tier. I ordered half a hog share and I was impressed with the entire process start to finish. When you order a hog share or cow share from farms, they generally don't give you all the options and level of detail that you get when ordering through WDB. They go into a lot more detail about your cuts, your options and generally just level set expectations to avoid any surprises at pickup. These extra considerations are greatly appreciated. Every cut was FRESH, vacuum sealed and labeled. When you order from a farm they usually freeze everything. I thought the fresh element was very thoughtful.When I picked up my order I asked a slew of other questions about the beef they sell and Griffin was patient and extremely helpful. I've been a customer of WSD over the last 8 years or so and I'm always impressed with the consistency of the products they sell as well as the knowledge and expertise of their staff. Truly remarkable! Keep up the great work!”

“This place is a local favorite of the Hispanic community as well as a gem for anyone and everyone. The staff is extremely pleasant and welcoming to anyone. They sell groceries, fresh produce, cheese, fish and meat. They have a small deli with meals like barbacoa that you can sit down and eat. The prices are reasonable and I love the small business feel. Anyone to stop at the doughnut store in the same parking lot, I always go in this store to look around and buy myself some fresh baked goods. This place always busy and it just feels "happy" as the vibe is so high and positive.”
