Mirus Gallery & Art Bar Denver is a dynamic exhibition space championing new movements in contemporary art. Established by curator and art dealer Paul Hemming, the gallery features a program of contemporary artwork by emerging and mid-career artists in both solo and thematically organized group shows. Mirus Gallery highlights work that emphasizes skill and process and aims to engage viewers on a sentient, emotional and evocative level.
The venue is described as a sleek and clean space with an awesome hanging display, multiple projector setup, and great lighting. It has a capacity of over 200 people and features a DJ booth and a bar, making it a great area for events. The gallery has been used for events such as a yoga session with Lovic Mano and Denver Yoga Social, which was said to have an amazing atmosphere.
While the gallery has received positive feedback, some reviewers have mentioned issues with the planning process and staff attentiveness during events. One reviewer had a negative experience with the security team, feeling unwelcome and having to constantly move their belongings. Overall, Mirus Gallery & Art Bar Denver is praised for its contemporary art program and event-hosting capabilities, though some aspects of the customer experience could be improved.
