About Montclair Civic Building
The Montclair Civic Building, originally built in 1888 as the Molkery, has a rich history and a charming appearance. It was once used for health-related purposes and briefly as an asylum before becoming Denver’s first community center in 1909. The building was fully restored in 2003-2004 to its historic look and now serves as a versatile event space. Located in Montclair Park, the building offers a lovely exterior with a large balcony, a grand rear staircase, and a spacious concrete patio, making it a scenic setting for gatherings. The interior is 975 square feet, climate-controlled, and includes a staging kitchen, bathroom, and space for about 50 people indoors, or up to 75 with outdoor options. The venue is suitable for small to medium events, such as weddings and celebrations, with amenities like a sheltered patio, a nice view of the park, and a playground nearby. The staff are friendly, helpful, and accommodating, ensuring a positive experience for event organizers. The facility’s accessible layout and beautiful outdoor environment make it an ideal choice for intimate gatherings, anniversaries, or weddings. Overall, the Montclair Civic Building combines historical charm with practical amenities, providing a flexible and picturesque setting for various events.

Lovely environment for our organization's 75th anniversary celebration. All spaces are easily accessible and have plenty of alternate walking/space options for elderly and disabled persons. Facility staff were pleasant and helpful. Beautiful outdoor event space as well.
