Ninth Street Historic Park is a beautiful, spacious place to hang out, study, read a book, or take your dog. It is a tranquil oasis amidst the bustling educational campus, sitting in its own little bubble of the past. This historic, residential block is the oldest residential area in Denver and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It features 13 Victorian homes built between 1872 and 1906, plus an historic retail space. The area was formerly a vibrant, historic Hispanic neighborhood that predated the City of Denver. After protests, authorities preserved some historic structures. It is a lovely, calm place to relax and unwind, with lots of space and not many people.
