REI is a large outdoor gear store located in a historic waterfront building. It is known for its award-winning own brand of clothing and equipment. The store is very big and has a great third-floor sale area. Its location is highly praised, being beside a Starbucks and a popular river trail. Customer experiences with service vary. Many reviews describe the staff as extremely kind, helpful, and professional, offering phenomenal service. Specific departments like the bike shop maintenance team are noted as very helpful. However, other experiences mention feeling rushed or followed, with some employees providing incorrect product information in an attempt to upsell. The store offers a membership, which provides a yearly dividend and access to complimentary climbing facilities. A standout policy is its 365-day return and satisfaction guarantee. Parking is free for the first hour to hour and a half, with validation available for longer visits. The store accepts Apple Pay. A tip for visitors is to go early or late on weekends to avoid crowds at checkout and in the shoe department.
A trip to the r e I flagship store is sure to lead to good adventure! Helpful staff and a great selection, and just a really fun vibe.

The largest and nicest REI I’ve ever been to. Worth a visit if you’re in the Denver area.

Great REI but the customer traffic management drives folks in a serpentine throughout the store. This reflects the Ikea approach and is pretty frustrating at times. Otherwise, great selection, decent availability, and knowledgeable staff.
