“The manager was very friendly and knowledgeable and great at communicating what was happening and how long the wait would be. The two men working on my car were very knowledgeable and extremely friendly and they let me know that there was something that needed to be fixed that I hadn’t planned on having done. They also informed me that it was something that was a pretty big deal and that I could go somewhere else or I could wait, but then it would be worse for my car and that it wasn’t just them trying to get money out of me and the fact alone that they even would say something like that made me realize that they really meant what they were saying, but just to be sure I called my boyfriend before giving them an answer because he is a mechanic and he said they were definitely telling the truth and that if they didn’t fix what they needed to in my car, it could’ve been a disaster!!! So needless to say these employees helped me avoid a complete mess and something that would’ve ended up costing me way more in the long run so I would say that they are very open and honest and trustworthy and they’re not gonna try and upsell you on a bunch of stuff you don’t need if they tell you that you need something done…i would believe them because it could just save your car !! Anyhow, this will be the only place that I go to for oil changes from here on out?”

“I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while. Just before the holidays, my car fell apart on me. The wheel detached, and the undercarriage was on the pavement. I’m no auto expert, but it looked pretty bad.
Thankfully, Garret and Don’s Garage turned what could have been a nightmare into a surprisingly positive experience.
I initially chose this shop because they were prompt, polite, and welcoming on the phone. They even stayed a few hours after closing on a Friday to receive my car from the tow company. By midday Monday, they had diagnosed the issue and provided a quote that was far lower than I had braced myself for.
Though they needed to order a part, the work was completed by midday Tuesday. Upon my request, Garret gave me an honest recommendation to address the same issue on the other side but made it clear there was no pressure to proceed, knowing I was on a tight budget. After considering his advice, I decided to move forward, and they completed the additional work by the next afternoon, even throwing in a free oil change for being a new customer.
Throughout the process, they were transparent, respectful, and never upsold unnecessary services. They answered every call promptly and thoroughly explained all the details.
One FYI I’d offer is that there’s a service charge for credit card payments, so paying with cash or a money order can save you a bit.

“SHOUT OUT TO KOLTON!! He quite literally saved me. My front brake system was fried so bad that I would have had to park it until next payday. He did everything in his power to make sure I was going to be back on the road safely while working with my financial situation! As a full time student and full time worker I wouldn’t be able to properly handle my busy week and a half if he didn’t do such a great job being accommodating. “This is an excellent, old school, honest transmission shop. My re-built NV4500 by them is still rolling after 5 years of work duty pulling tree care equipment and that is saying something considering the reliability reputation for that particular transmission. We trust A-1 because they earned it.
Will is no nonsense and hard working. If he can't help you right away it is because he is super busy. There is no fancy showroom, aggressive sales staff looking to pad quotes, no hand holding. Just good old fashioned quality work. If this shop ever closes Denver will be losing a gem.”
