Home Depot is terrible. Incompetent staff who are not willing to help with anything outside their isle, terrible service and often low quality versions of products. If you can shop anywhere else you should!

Was struggling to get a paint color match but Bryce was very helpful! He helped us find the best match and it was a perfect match when we did a test at home. Thank you Bryce!!!

About a month back, I was leaving the plumbing department and overheard what seemed to be a manager yelling at an employee named duane who helped me. He was very condescending and cursed which I found inappropriate. This vibe is off. Will not be returning.

Most rude, unhelpful, unknowable, disrespectful people I have ever met. Perhaps it’s just be the culture in the town in the town of Durango for people to be unreasonably rude. Maybe? I don’t know? However I am most definitely Reporting this store to the Better Business Bureau!

Poor customer service. I walked around, looking confused for a while, and 2 employees just walked right past me and didn't ask if I needed help. Didn't even say anything to me. And they weren't busy at all. Ended up leaving without buying anything because I couldn't get any help and ask questions.

I ordered 16 windows from them, and PAID an additional fee for delivery of them from the store, and they completely FLAKED on three, yes three, different delivery appointments, and then tried to LIE to me and say that they "attempted" the delivery, when I was here the entire day, and later found out that they were having "computer problems" on their end, which caused the Box Truck to NOT show up at their store to be loaded up! After waiting for over two weeks, I chose to go pick them up myself. The employees at the "customer service desk" couldn't possible shive-a-git less and are completely dismissive. However, while I was waiting the 20 minutes for them to get the windows from "the back", a friendly guy with an apron labeled "Assistant Manager", came over to me, and asked me about my concerns, since he had overheard me talking to a Customer Service Person at the Customer Service Desk. He listened intently, and took down my name & number, in a small spiral note pad (which also had lots of other names & numbers in it), and said he would look into it. He didn't say that he would contact me, and I indeed haven't heard from anyone there at Home Depot - In fact, they haven't even refunded me the $100.50 delivery fee that they've charged me yet...

What a sorry state of affairs this place is. I bought a new home this year and have spent thousands of dollars there in 2023. They screwed up SO many orders. Most were fairly minor, and the worst that happened was that I was forced to drive to Farmington to get my stuff. I wish I could tell you about all the many ways they fall short, but I'll stick to the most egregious. I ordered a shed on 8/3/23. Paid by check and was told the order would be here between 9/21/23 and 10/19/23. No problem, I just need a shed before snow hits. On 9/26/23 I called the store for an update. I was told they canceled the order because they don't have any installers for that particular shed in the Durango area. They cancelled it A MONTH ago. Never called, texted or emailed me. Never sent me back my $5,000. Now I'm sitting here with October around the corner looking for somebody who can install a shed, and oh yeah, I don't have my $5,000 I gave to Home Depot. Jackie at the customer service desk was rude and indifferent to my situation (more than once). I asked why they even TOOK the order (and my cash) and her response was simply "we live in a rural area, we don't have people to construct these." Again, I said "Then why did you sell it to me?" She simply said "our associates aren't taught that in training." When I asked about my money, she simply said, "it could take up to 5 weeks, that's up to corporate, not in our control, our hands are tied." No apologies, no empathy, no solutions. In fact, she told me "you should feel lucky, it used to take 2 months to get your money back." So, I ordered a shed on August 3rd, gave them $5000, waited nearly two months and only find out my order was canceled a month ago (only because I asked) and now need to wait up to 5 weeks to get my money back, and I "should feel lucky?!" Fuhhh, somehow I don't feel "lucky" at all. In fact I'm super pissed. I will use Lewis in Bayfield or Ace in Durango, or if need be drive to Lowes in Farmington before I ever give that store another nickel. A few employees there are top notch, but the rest of them just don't give a Sh*t and could care less about you. I know 5 grand isn't much to Home Depot, but them keeping mine is holding up me finding another shed before snow arrives. I'm so mad at them and can not recommend strongly enough that if you have a big purchase, go elsewhere because the leadership team here couldn't give two sh*ts about you. /rant

This is a TEN STAR review. I traveled to Durango from the Oregon coast. I stopped into the Durango Home Depot Thursday, Sep 21st and while there visited the men's restroom. I left my fanny pack containing cash, credit cards, drivers license, veteran ID, health insurance card, car fob, home key and other personal items on a stall grab bar and left the store. Two hours later, I realized it was missing. I returned and a very sympathetic associate named Dave helped me look around, even looking into waste barrels in the restroom and out to no avail. He took my name, cell number and email address. I left, disheartened and proceeded to spend the afternoon canceling my credit cards and calling Oregon DMV on what to do about my license (still having a couple thousand miles to go on my trip). As a follow-up, I called the store at 6pm that evening and was elated to hear someone had turned it in. Arriving at the customer service desk, I was extremely pleased that the entire contents were there, even nearly $200 in cash. A big thank-you to employees and/or patrons that made my day better ! As a point of irony, earlier at lunch that same day, I chased down a woman leaving in her car who had left her billfold (containing her driver license) on an outdoor table. Karma is alive and well !

Unmotivated and uninterested employees and less than great selection. One example, selling driveway sealer with no squeegee applicators. Lazy.

Home Depot delivery services were supposed to install my washer/dryer unit. Instead, they flooded my house, started an electrical fire, broke my water line, and forced me to hire an emergency plumber and electrician just to be able to live in my house. The appliance didn't even work, and the replacement was damaged before it was off the truck. It is over a month later and I still don't have my money back. Would never, ever buy an appliance here again. I have spent hours on the phone, both locally and corporately, trying to get it resolved and still feel like I am getting no where. Worst shopping experience ever.
