“It’s been a couple of years now since I bought a Velotechnik Gekko from Steve. This trike is built well. Handles well.. And is a pure joy to ride. My wife bought one too! We decided to equip both with Bafang 750 watt motors with 52 volt batteries. Now we can go further. And still make it home! Helps on hills too. I’m 72. Wife 68. Tons of fun! Buy one and enjoy exercise!”

I have gone in a couple times for some small parts and really haven’t spent much money at Drake Cycles, but despite that, he is always down to share advice and help me learn how to set things up on my own. This sport can have an air of elitism about it, and I have not experienced that at all on my trips to DC, whether it is in conversations with Eli or any of the other guys in the shop. When the time comes, be it for service, parts, or a new bike, I’ll be bringing my business to Drake Cycles!”

“My recent buying experience at Pro Velo was great, but even better was the helpful attitude of Mike and the service staff. My bike needed some minor disc brake adjustments and everything was explained in detail as he worked on the brakes. Mike dropped what he was doing and attended to my bike immediately. Later I purchased a wheel upgrade and the install was quick and excellent. Their maintenance clinic is also worthwhile. Very professional and caring staff.”
