I used to love coming to REI. They had great gear and helpful associates. I purchased a pair of Oboz boots there a few years ago. I was reassured by the associate that the boots would absolutely not delaminate...ever. Guess what? They started delaminating at the toe. I tried to return them to no avail. The associate suggested I get some "shoe goo" and fix them myself. I understand that the boots were out of warranty. However, I only wear my hiking boots while hiking, I would say I wore them 3 dozen times.I guess the moral of the story is: don't bother with "high end" gear anymore. It's not worth the money.

Brian (with some pinch hitting by Shanna) combined skilled expertise with friendly service to come up with a professionally-fitted trekking pack . . . something impossible with some mail order deal.

Store is always clean, staff is always kind and helpful, and you can score great clearance deals on off-seasonal items and apparel on occasion (if you’re willing to dig a little). Always a pleasure visiting (and calling with inquiries) this location.

Horrible interaction with staff that was absolutely absurd. Will probably be sticking to JAX from here on out as this is the third time that someone has tried to talk down to my experience as a hiker/backpacker.

Went looking for gels for a trail race. They have a ton of options. The employees were friendly but didn’t seem to know a ton about the gels, just which ones they liked. I’d definitely stop here again for running supplies!

I'm becoming less and less impressed with this REI over the years. It's a small store so they're inventory must be curated. It's basically a small boutique of outdoor / outdoor-adjacent clothing and a minimal selection of gear. They often tell you in the store that they don't have it but they can order it online. But I can order it online, and probably for much cheaper. So I've wasted my time, and you'll waste yours. They probably won't have the exact gear you're looking for for your next trip. But they do have enough cool stuff look pretty and impress your non-outdoorsy friends.I like REI the company. And the people who work here have been pretty nice. But I'm a tall guy, most things don't fit me in this store. And I've had bad luck finding the gear I want in the store. But if you're a medium/average sized person, and are not looking for a specific piece of clothing or gear, I might be worth stopping by.

First day I'm Colorado and I got a very warm greeting from Madison. She was super helpful in getting me clothes and gear I need for my first 14er... which I accomplished the next morningShe was very professional, passionate, and positive about helping me find what I need. Not to mention she was quick with her suggestions which saved me some time also. Thank you Madison for going above and beyond for helping me be prepared. You def need a raise!!Once Madison got me prepared for me 14er I told her I wanted to go backpacking too so she connected me with Danny. And he was answering all my questions and got me a nice backpack. Unfortunately they didn't have any tents that I wanted so I wasn't able to grab tents. But I got a super sweet back pack and all my gear for a 14er.Thank you Madison and Danny(:

Asked where a product was and I was given a vague explanation for where it was and then pointed over to it. After not being able to find it and seeing that the shoes I came here for weren't in stock after all, I just went onto amazon. I'll have no pity for stores like this closing when they can't keep proper inventory or guide customers to items.

I love this place. I know. Lot of fancy ppl does. I mean. This is one of the short list of places that make sense to go inatead of getting the stuff online. Ppl here really know their stiff. The ppl working at the bike shop really knows about parts and hiw everything works, trully.Everything that I can get there I will instead of online. Even if its more expensive, the caring staff and the acknowledgment are worthy

I dislike writing bad reviews, but I was left with no choice today. I drove past 2 other bike shops to purchase a Continental Gatorskin Hardshell 700x25 road bike tire at the Fort Collins REI (where I have been a member for around 30 years). The price was listed as $57.95 (photo attached). At checkout I was told the tire was $77.xx after tax. I notified the checkout clerk of the price on the rack and then consulted a sales associate in the bike area. He checked the price and said the $77.xx was the "right" price and that the currently advertised price was from a sale a couple of weeks ago. They did not honor the $57.95 price and I left the store without the tire. This is the second time in two trips to this store that the price of the item I wanted to purchase was wrong (but the last time they honored the advertised price).

Good selection of items, but REI is devolving… unfortunately the REIs of today are not what they used to be.There once was a time when you could go to REI and get an expert consultation on your outdoor gear needs from an experienced, personable, and helpful staff-member who specialized in their area. This is no longer the case in my experience. Whenever I have a question here, I can usually flag somebody down, but then I’m met with a confused look and a quick search on their phone. I want experienced consultation when purchasing expensive equipment, not be handed a phone with information I have already looked up myself…And it’s not just this location, it’s the company at large. If you’re looking for consultation on gear, look elsewhere.

I love coming to REI!You always find something you want and maybe even a few things you need.I have had my skis waxed here, but ski equipment such as helmet, ski pants, poles, shirts, clearance items, and of course Yeti products. One of the great things about the REI coupons that they send out every now and then for 20% off is that you can use it on yeti products. I couldn't believe they weren't excluded. I ended up buying a large yeti cooler with a 20% discount so that I felt much better about buying it. Yeti coolers are worth the money!Great store to get your ski , bike, camping, hiking, running, etc. equipment.REI is definitely worth the membership.Have fun getting outside!

We have one of the memberships at REI so we bring our bikes in regularly for tuneups. I’ve had really good experiences at this location. Today I left our bike for a tuneup and was helped by Maddie. The service was exceptional. Everything was explained to me and I wasn’t up-sold on anything that I didn’t need. Thanks for hiring good people.

An adult female REI employee just accosted my 10 year old daughter in the restroom because the employee thought my kid was in the wrong bathroom for her gender. Then she tried to get her to go to the men's room. It was mean and inappropriate. There were so many other ways to handle this, like talking to the parent right outside the bathroom.Today was the first time we've ever left an REI in tears. I do have to say the manager was kind and tried to help the situation. I just wanted to give a heads up to any families of kids who may look different or if your daughters have short hair or boys have long hair, whatever - just let the kids go to the bathroom.

Great REI location with excellent staff and service. Healthy selection that is always kept up to date on these site or app. Ordering for store pickup was very easy. Definitely recommend going in and checking it out.
