“I am a former federal GS employee (GS8) who recently resigned from my position and found myself homeless after witnessing my father a US Veteran pass away. I went into the post office in Golden CO and was treated like I was a contagious disease and told I couldn’t get a PO Box or have mail delivered there if I was homeless, I must have a physical address and unprovoked I was embarrassingly asked to leave. I was shocked and beyond appalled and let down. So please understand my hesitation when visiting this branch yesterday. I was quiet when explaining my situation and why I needed a P.O. Box. I was immediately covered in empathy and kinship. This 3 person staff ALL treated me like I mattered and helped me resolve all my mailing matters and frustrations. I cannot thank them all for being human and caring. I was hesitant when seeing the rating on Google but don’t let that fool you. I wish you all the best and thank you ALL for EVERYTHING!!!”
