Worst grooming ever. it took them four hours, just to shave our dog down to where there's nothing left to comb. even though they rush, and do a poor quality job, they're no cheaper then quality groomed. Never again.

Shaving hair off a dog is making your job easier but it looks terrible on a dog. It is dog’s grooming, not shaving. My first time brought my dog here for grooming is also my last. BEWARE!

I brought my 2.5 yo goldendoodle there for his every few month grooming. I had brought him there once before with no issues. So I brought in my dog, explained to the groomer what I wanted (we settled on a length of “5”, longer legs, and the teddy bear face), and left him in their care. About an hour later, I received a call from a woman who was not his actual groomer, stating that they had to end the groom early because my dog was anxious, flailing around, and nipping at the groomer. It was a safety issue. I was in shock, because my dog never had behaved like that at a groomers before. When I got there, he had been started to be shaved over half his body. SHORT. VERY SHORT. A FULL SHAVE. Not only did they shave his body, but they also shaved into his legs, which went against ALL that we had discuss and agreed upon. In addition, loose hair was falling off of him as we walked to the car. They didn’t even take the time to get rid of the excess hair that had already been trimmed!! He looked like he had mange. When I got him home, I spent the next hour or so fixing the monumental disaster they left me with. I finished the shave, with no excessive matting to be found. When I initially booked the grooming, I even had applied the extra brushing charge to his cut, as I knew his hair was longer, with some potential mats. So what was the extra fee I was paying for if they had no intention of brushing him out before the cut????I brush him somewhat regularly, but got a bit behind due to the holiday season. That being said, I had worked out most of the mats he had behind his ears and a few other places at home before the appointment. He was NOT matted all over. (Note: my doodle has very thick, dense, curly hair. Brushing straightens the hair, but it frequently curls up shortly after.)I do understand that my doodle may have not been into the groom that day, was anxious, didn’t like the groomer, or whatever. I understand that safety is important, and respect that they had to cancel the appointment accordingly. BUT, they didn’t do what I had asked and left me with an awful mess. Lesson learned…DO NOT BRING YOUR DOODLE TO THIS GROOMER. They are a grooming factory. They aren’t willing to spend the time to brush out the dog if it may take a bit more time. They are just trying to get people in and out. They did not do what we had agreed upon, nor were they helpful with cleaning him up before sending him home with me in a complete mess. Rookie groomers.Again, Note: I understand grooming doodles can be challenging, time consuming, and a lot of work. BUT, if you are not willing to do it right, don’t do it at all. Stop allowing doodle owners to make appointments if this is the kind of service, or lack there of, you are going to provide.Pictures I provide show the mess he was left in. Again, no mats, just curled hair. The last photo is his leg, which shows a shave line down the leg (the other leg I had already started shaving down to match the rest of his body). Poor dood. Goodbye Petsmart.

I visit this PetSmart for both grooming and the hotel. Ashley is the groomer I use, and she is wonderful with my Sophia. What I appreciate is that she remembers us both visit after visit and the quality of grooming is excellent. When I travel, I never worry about my Sophia at the hotel. The staff knows her, but most importantly, she never comes home stressed after her stay. I love that I can get her a full day of activities every day she stays there.

Usually I despise petsmart because I have exotic pets and the selection for exotics is limited and the vet only services cats and dogs. The prices are hyper inflated and they ask a ton of questions at check out it always takes forever and I just disagree in general with the amount of money average Americans spend on their pets. That being said - in my angry rush when my kids asked for fish on their birthday & petsmart Glendale was nearby I went in bought a few fish then accidentally donated $40 on one of the million questions the computer asks at checkout. Fast forward 2 months & tonight I find myself searching for bird antiseptic and pain spray (they don't have any) but the guy was super patient and very helpful and helped me figure out alternate solutions then when I mentioned the $40 refund I never received for the error in donation (multi million $$ corporation doesn't need $40 from a single mother) the manager came out and she ended up comping the 2 small emergency items I needed for my birds small injury. I found the help this evening finally worth overpaying all those other times so special thank you to those 3 associates I believe a manager who helped me tonight under slight duress. Your fairness and kindness and great service was appreciated.

For a while I’ve been preferring petco in this area just because they have better selection of products for my dog and normally have live bugs - mealworms, larvae etc whereas this PetSmart location always has dead bugs.I came here today anyways as it was closer to where I was shopping, got to the register and asked the gentleman (he had black hair and glasses and long black fake nails that were crusty) for 25 large crickets. He proceeded to tell me really rudlely that “I should’ve gotten them over by the fish” which I communicated I actually waited over there for a bit and no one was around, which was why I asked him.He made a huge deal about me going back to get the crickets which I obviously was not going to do since I was mid transaction. Why couldn’t he have called for crickets? I have been going to PetSmart for over 2 decades and even used to work at a different location. Y’all have headphones. He could’ve called someone and asked for crickets.Anyways I told him straight up, “it’s fine I’ll just go to PetCo down the street.” And this person just said “oh sorry” and did absolutely nothing to save the revenue for the store. If not for horrible customer service, this person should be fired … they obviously aren’t making the company any profit. I won’t be back and petco can have all my money! :)
